That's the best plan. Also, you will read about different ways to clean and modify your attys. I don't recommend you try anything drastic, or potentially damaging (like boiling, dry burning, removing the wick, etc.) until you have spares on-hand. Remember, some people don't clean them at all. It's really not necessary unless you have some kind of performance issue.
EDIT: Also, there is a sub-forum here for FL vapers, and I think it's pretty active. I know there are several members that live in your general area. Your about an hour south of connman... He's a "modder" that lives up around Live Oak. Nice guy.
