Hey everybody,
I'd like to introduce myself. Name's Tony. Im 20 I've been smoking for about 3 years. In the past year I progressed to a pack/day of cigarettes. (Camel crush bolds). I bought my first starter kit about a month and a half ago. I ended up just troubleshooting that for a month and trying to find a good atomizer/cartomizer as well as liquid before I could really kick the analogues. Now I just have an ego c twist, with a cartomizer tank attached to it. I'm vaping synonym toast by nice juice at 12mg and its a 70/30. One thing I'm curious about the feeling im getting in my throat though. I get it occasionally if I havent vaped in a few hours and Im not sure if its the juice or if I didnt fill my carto enough when priming. And advice will help. Related or unrelated doesnt matter im just still very confused by all this

Hey there and welcome.

I can't say as to why you occasionally get a throat hit, but getting them all the time is pretty easy by one of two ways.

Run a lower ohm carto like a dual coil 1.5ohm
and
since you have a twist, turn up the voltage a bit at a time until you either get a burned taste, turn in back down...or the desired affect is obtained.

Good luck!!

BTW, lower ohm anything helps get that nice throat and lung hit. One reason you'll read about folks running a sub-ohm setup which is anything .9 or lower.

Welcome to ecf Tony.
Please increase your liquid intake. Vaping will dry you out so vapers need the additional moisture. That may be all you need. Try having something to drink on hand while you vape and let us know. If that isn't working, then maybe you need a lower nic level or another mixture of pg/vg than you currently have.

:)

Thanks for all the quick replies guys. I stayed with an 18mg liquid when I started but those were a little too heavy on the throat hit. Then again I only tried one liquid at that level. And as for sugar and spice, I'm a medical student, and when I first started vaping I noticed I enjoy it more when I have something to drink on hand. But I did not think it would dehydrate me, guess it just slipped my mind. The box of cartos that I bought doesn't say the ohms as far as I can see, is that necessarily a bad thing?

No, not a bad thing,if you can control the vv. And with a twist, I think you can.(Never tried one, so not 100% sure). Does the carto box say SR or LR. SR would be the equivalent to around a 3.0 ohm and a LR would be lower. Probably around 1.8-2.0 ohm.
