Hello ladies and gents... The name is Chris, stopped smoking on July 1st for GOOD. Why? Vaporizers.

I think it's insane how something so simple can be so elegant, fun, satisfying and most of ALL, ADDICTING!

Let me show y'all what I'm working with and then we''ll go from there. :)

Also just bought these... As they were going to be used together. Got them about a week ago.

That was a HUGE fail.... Why? Let's just say it's not the MVP. She's doing fine with my EVOD...

So, that leads me to my problem... "The best two Clearomizers EVVEEER!!!!". Not.

So I spent the money on these and they BOTH suck enough fluid into your mouth to practically be a straw from the tank. Yes, I've looked over EVERYTHING there could possibly be. I've searched and searched.... :(

Anyways, any info would be greatly appreciated, though when someone tries to help.... I'm sure it'll end in a "already tried/checked". :glare:

So anyways, I'm glad to be a part of the community - hopefully I can help people with the knowledge I DO have! Thanks!

16 days, huh? Are you still drawing like you did with cigarettes? Ease it up a bit or the tanks and clearo's will continue to be like straws.. Gentle draws until you can gauge the amount of liquid flowing over the coils to help reduce flooding.

This was my first problem when I started vaping. You can't draw as hard like a cig. Ease back and the flooding will stop. I've recently started using the Aerotank Mega and it is by far the best clearo I've used. Nautilus is good but it is hard finding good heads.

I would try to open the air-flow a little more and set it on a higher voltage or wattage. They both work on a pressure and vaccume concept so if the airflow is to tight it will suck to much juice into the coil and what ever overflows will suck into you mouth, and it may be because the heat is to low which doesn't evaporate all the juice your sucking in. Good luck!

Maybe you are trying to Vape these on too high a setting?

Also, have to tried to put a flavor wick on top of the coils? This usually fixes juice spraying up into the mouth.

BTW: a flavor wick is just a piece of wicking material across the top, same length as the coil.

THIS I haven't tried... Maybe I'll give this a shot. But it's BAD!

The Nautilus worked great for a week or so.... I don't take big draws from it, doesn't matter HOW you draw on it, you're getting juice in your mouth. Period.

Voltage is around 5.9V. But I keep it on watts, just can't remember what wattage that is in volts at the moment. Air flow is opened ALL the way.

I'll check this out too... Thanks!

Looks like it's time for you to get into rebuilding.

Toss those leaky clearos in a box somewhere and forget about them. Get a Kayfun instead. Since you build and wick your own coils you control the fluid flow and vapor production. More vapor, better flavor, and oh yes, cheaper to build coils on as well. You can get 100 feet of Kanthal wire for about $10 and you'll only use about 4 inches of wire per coil. That's a LOT of coils for less than the price of a 5 pack of Nautilus atomizers. For wick I use cotton which you can get a lifetime supply for about $5.

Looks like you're already dripping so this should be an easy change to make for you, and high quality Kayfun clones are really cheap. I suggest either a Version 2 Kayfun Lite Plus or a Kayfun 3.1 from either Hcigar or EHpro. Either one should cost less than $40.

The two major reasons why people have flooding and leaking problems with a bottom coil anything are: too hard and too too hot.

Simple: If you suck and suck and suck on a clearo you blow right past the partial vacuum that keeps the liquid in there, draw it up into the vent tube, and then dump it out the bottom of the coil assembly when you stop sucking. I really would like to see what some of these folks smoking style was that causes them to create this problem when drawing on a clearo. Short hard pulls are fine. 15 second cross eyed draws will always create a problem.

Dial it down: BCC clearos don't function well at high temperatures. If you are running them on a VV or VW APV and the voltage or wattage is higher than needed that will cause any BCC clearo to spit juice up the vent tube. Alwasy start at as low a voltage as possible and only bump it up until you find the flavor and vapor production you are looking for. Drop "the charts" and "the chart says..." for voltage recommendations - it's only a rough guideline that causes more problems than it addresses.

I can recreate any problem anyone has ever complained about with a BCC clearo by doing it wrong - pulling on it non stop or by ramping the voltage way up. (Or by not installing the coil assembly fully. Or by purchasing the wrong coil for the wrong clearo. Or...) I can also stop the problem(s) simply by not doing any of that.

Tried this.... Didn't help my situation.

Tried THIS and it literally bent the entire bottom of the Aerotank, so it's junk unless you can get new bottoms for it! (Not even wasting my time)

Yea, I build my own sub ohm coils and so forth for my drippers, I have a Nemesis and a Astro by Kato, love em! Love rebuilding them too, but I really don't want to have to worry about rebuilding my attys. That said, I'm just looking for a good clearo for my MVP. I mean the EVOD 2 on there now works great, just wish it was dual coil.

You can try a totally different route and not deal with tanks and get bottom fed device....just a thought.

I'm done buying Mods... Seriously. Atleast for a while. I've got PLENTY to hold me over! Lol.

The whole thing that SUCKS is that my two "nicest" and supposedly the best clearos are both straws (and NO I'm not exaggerating -.one is destroyed now and the other (the Nautilus) is just pure crap)

I am happy to see others having my same issues. I started with an iclear 30 with the MVP v2 and then bought a Kanger mini tank. I hate the Kanger mini tank. Leaking juice through the bottom of the coil spitting juice into my mouth. I tried contacting the ejuice company but they really did not help or come up with good suggestions for me to stop the problem. Now I am trying the Russian 91%. So far I love it. My first coil build was great at 2.o ohms. But now I am struggling with leaking out of the airhole unless I put very little juice into the tank. As long as I put small amounts of juice in the tank it is the best Vape I have had since Feb. 2014. I love this board. So many people have wonderful things to share. Thank you all .

But what if youve done all of these things correct and it still has the problem.... Because that's where I'm at. I've gone over EVERYTHING, tried low watts, high watts, pulling hard on it, pulling slow on it, etc....

... All the same results. Gurgling, bubbling, straw.

Amen. All of my other Kanger products work WONDERFUL, I was all about Kanger... Until the Aero

I totally agree with the above and rebuilding. If I can do it with bad eye sight and arthritic fingers you too can do it too. My iclear 30 days of tight headache producing drags is in the past with a Russian 91%. I found good links on these boards of supplies to buy and what you will need to make the coils and then I watched tons of videos on how to build a coil and how many wraps for a certain size drill bit. I ended up getting a precision tool kit that was under $4 from home depot that has a 2.4 mm screwdriver that is perfect for wrapping a coil. Give it a try and you will fall in love. Best of luck.

I use a T3s, the only time I have a problem with juice getting in my mouth is when 1. My battery gets low, or 2. My coil reaches the end of it's life span. I use a set voltage, ego battery. When the battery gets below 3.5 Vdc I can taste the juice and change the battery. I would think with the Aero you would want to close down the air flow. My thinking is that, depending on your draw, too much air will cool down the vape and also allow the liquid to be sucked past the wick and straight up the tube. I do have a problem with the coils going bad after a day of use. Some will last me for a day and some for 4-5 days from the same pack. I have just started building my own coils but haven't got it down yet so I still have to use the commercial coils for now. Glad to hear you stopped smoking, I quit 15 months ago, because of e-cigs and have never looked back.

I am sorry that your aero is giving your problems. I too had slight issues with the draw on the thing using the stock dual coil heads. I found a solution that works for me and might be worth a shot for you. Whenever I start with a new wick/liquid I alway start low (6W) and gradually bump it up usually landing to around 7.5-8W. The problem IMO with the dual Aeroheads is that they are stacked on top of each other with a little wicking in the middle of them. The silica and coils get funked up and need to be cleaned to return to anything normal. I used to dry burn them and rinse with water and then dry burn them again to get it to vape correctly. I recently went single coil with an alternative wick which seemed to hit the spot. Either way what I quoted below is what worked for me. It may be worth a shot. Best of luck!

One thing I noticed with all of my kanger coil units is that once I re-wicked the thing with organic cotton or rayon the leaks or gurgles completely stopped. For a cotton wick you want the cotton to touch the coils while threading it, but not too snug. Rayon on the other hand you want it to be snug, it will feel like it is squeaking through the coil. Cotton expands as it absorbs liquid and rayon collapses. It isn't rocket science by any means and once you do it a few times it will be second nature.

I'd suggest going single coil if you don't have an advanced mod. To do a single coil all you have to do is get an EVOD coil unit, screw it in your Aerotank base, remove the silicone piece from the chimney of your Aerotank dual coil unit, flip it upside down and place it on the chimney portion of the EVOD coil unit. Since single coil units are shorter (EVOD et al.) there will be a gap. Adding the inverted Aerotank silicone gasket seals the gap perfectly. To me it hits waaaay better than the underpowered dual coil setup I was using. When I get a better mod I'll probably go back to duals.

The beauty with the single coil unit is that it is easier to dry burn when it gets gunked up (stock config), and if you are feeling froggy you can ditch the stock silica wick and slip some organic cotton or rayon in there for a truly superb vape.

Just a side note about the inverted Aero grommet, it may stick to the inside of the tank area where the chimney inserts. This is fine and how mine is. Vapes like a champ with no leaks etc. I must admit that I rebuild all of my coil units, but this will work just fine for the non-rebuilders out there as well.

Edit: Since you are semi-local to me I will send you my address and if you send me your Aero tank and heads I will try to fix it and recoil/rewick it for you. I can also open up the draw a little if you'd like. Just an option. No charge of course, just cover shipping. pm if interested.

Hey Willie,

That's why I sent it back to the store. After they told me it worked fine for them with the same coil well heck why then was it leaking out of the coil for me. I think they tell you your sucking to hard, I wasn't, a matter of fact the Kanger mini was too airy from the get go compared to the iclear 30 which was always tight draw. Then the store told me I was tightening the tank to hard to the MVP. Right, I tightened it just like the iclear that never leaked. Oh come on now. It leaked. I watched so many videos talking of ways to solve the issue and I tried all of them. One guy on youtube said it was a certain batch of coils. I gave up. I have spent enough time and money on those sucky tanks and coils. What a waste and I got tired of dealing with it so I bought the Russian 91 %. I wish the reviewers would go into the problems and how to solve them more than they do. You have to read boards or search for videos before buying a product to see if there are problems other people are having. These boards are the most honest and thank god they exist.
