Hello, I am a 67 yr young woman and have been smoking cigs since age 14. That said, I have tried the e cigs and don't get any joy from it and have heard some neg health concerns with that as well. So switching from one health problem to another seems pointless.
I have also been a cannabis lover since age 15, and am now hooked on vaping. I still love my cigs and the prospect of vaping regular tobacco has been on my mind for some time. I am as w speak vaping Am Spirit organic loose tobacco with an Extreme Q vaporizer that I use with cannabis as well.

Welcome. Would it surprise you to learn that most of the negative reports on e-cigs are not to be trusted? The British health care system has decided they are 95% safer than smoking. So I say, what are you doing? Time is running out, smoking is Russian roulette compared to e-cigs. Stop now and feel a huge amount better in just 6 months. I met a lady yesterday who could barely exist due to chronic COPD. She switched to vaping Feb 2015 and is now walking into town to shop. I call that a miracle for her. Her and many thousands of others. Take a chance on vaping, don't trust the governments who want people to smoke and mistrust vaping for financial reasons.

The exact statement from the Royal College of Physicians is:
  • The hazard to health arising from long-term vapour inhalation from the e-cigarettes available today is unlikely to exceed 5% of the harm from smoking tobacco.
So, it certainly could be more than 95% safer and unlikely to be less, and they are being super cautious.

Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, that is a different kind of vaporizer that we talk about here. The devices we use on this forum deal with E-liquid, and no loose tobacco at all. Perhaps you should give them a try.

Pretty much, an "e-cigarette" is simply something that heats up e-juice. E-juice are made of propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, nicotine, and flavorings. The first three items are found in foods, and have no carcinogens in them. The last ingredient, the flavoring, is the only truly debatable substance, since there are a wide variety of flavors out there. Most of the negative reports on ecigs are hyped up and over inflated. Ecigigarettes are widely safer than regular tobacco.

Why not give Ecigarettes a try. do some research on the negative aspect of vaping, then go look at the basis of those reports. One example; I'm sure you've heard people say "ecigarettes have antifreeze in them". That is true. But what they're talking about is propylene glycol. propylene glycol was used to defrost the wings of airplanes. They used to use something similar to car antifreeze, but that antifreeze is deadly, and animals would drink any runoffs and die. So they looked to the food industry for a solution, and found propylene glycol, which is totally safe for consumption, as a good alternative. So yes, vaping e-liquid does contain antifreeze, but they're saying that just to scare you.... You could say the same thing about water being an antifreeze. :)

So yes, give them a try.. you'll find it's more enjoyable than regular smoking. It's not a 1:1 replacement, but I find it's better at most things. I still get a pleasure from the exhale, but now I have actual flavors to choose from instead of a variety of tobacco. I can vape strawberry flavors, caramel flavors, tobacco flavors if I wanted. Something traditional tobacco just cannot provide.
