Hi Chris, welcome to ECF! :)

You are going to get lots of suggestions, as there are lots of options available, and everyone has their favorites! You could help narrow it down by stating how often you vape, if you are wanting something larger or more versatile, and how much you want to spend, that will help people help you narrow down some ideas.

Congratulations on your switch! :)

Hi again,

Well I was hoping to upgrade my EGO-C with the upgraded USB1000mah bat. But I'v also been searching a bit and was wondering if anyone can explain or show me how these "CARTOMIZERS" work vs the tank system of my EGO-C. I like their look, and that I can get a 3ml carto. None the less, I saw in a thread that the BOGE 2.0 or smoketech 1.7 seen here from parksvaping.com

Carto Tanks

they work really well with the EGO-C batteries, atleast this is what i have read that users are sayin. Can anyone tell me...What tips I should use? I do not see them on the above site, and maybe a pic of your setup. like I'm just not getting the picture of how it all comes together. Why is the punched hole for? How long do these things last?

lol thats alot,

Any advice would be great!

Chris

Since i've stopped smoking ciggeretts (1.5 packs a day) and switched to the ego, i bring it and suck on this thing whenever i can . I dont mind and maybe prefer the larger tanks, and good battery life. As far as vapor liquids. I like to see alot of smoke, and feel it. Helps me get the feeling / sensation that I really am smokeing. So far ive been on about 18mg juics, plan to start cutting down the mg, after a month or two.

When I first started vaping in Jan. of 2012 I came to realize that I was much more satisfied with 24mg liquid. At this point I'm at 12mg and seem to be satisfied with that. I was more impressed with eGo batteries and Boge Low Resistance Cartomizers the longer I used e-cigs. After about 5 months I bought a Variable Volt Ovale v8 Mod, and since then e-cigs are really working well to keep me from tobacco. I have been trying Clearomizers the last couple weeks and so far they are way too much trouble to mess with. Tired of all the FIX's and still getting the burnt taste 75% of the time. The most reliable way I've found to vape well is by using the Boge LR Carto's on a vv mod. An eGo CTwist is also a good choice. Oh by the way, if you have e-liquid leaking onto the battery it is likely from overfilling when it comes to Carto's. One of the best places to get a deal on Boge LR Cartomizers is the Sure Vapes site. Hope this helps.

The advice I have on the tank tips is to fill them 3/4 full, wipe them off, keep them tip down while inserting into the nozzle of the eGo-C which you hold upside down. Be sure there is no bubble at the neck of the tank filler hole or any extra fluid before inserting, use a paper clip to pierce any bubble before inserting and then wipe the filler hole end again.

If you are getting a burning taste, draw on the tip without firing a couple times, then draw a few times while firing but don't inhale to clear the burned taste.

If it still tastes burned, change your atomizer, start fresh using the method above and take the burned atomizer and drunk it in boiling water twice, changing the water between dunkings, dab extra water off, let dry overnight or dry with a blow dryer. Once dry, put a tiny dab of juice on the wick tip, (really tiny), wipe off the atomizer and reinsert into the battery chamber, (being sure to wipe the battery connection spot if it had any fluid on it).

If you are having leaks around the tank top filler hole, where it connects around the edge to the tip, replace it with a new tip. If you are having leaks around the threads where the atomizer is housed, you need to open it up and carefully wipe it out.

This is what I learned and have done, now I have no problems. Remember to draw slow and even the first draw, then you can puff a bit.

This is all I know so far, had the same problems you describe and am now happily puffing away....

So I was going to order a third battery and upgrades . What is the main benefits of having the new ego twist? I guess I'll get twist and bodge or smoke tech setups. What is used as the mouth tip for these setups ? We're else can I get a good clear bodge? Parksvaping is out of them. Do I want the 2.0 or 3. ???

The eGo Twist is just a regular eGo battery with the exception that you can change the voltage lower or higher and get the results you prefer from vaping. Its a less expensive way to find what voltage works with which Cartomizer, Clearomizer, etc. and pleases you. The reason for 2.0ohm Cartomizers rather than 3.0 is that the LR get hotter quicker and makes vaping easier in my opinion. You don't need a tip on those unless you prefer one. You just take the rubber cap off to fill and put it back on after. It is easier to use a tip though. The large clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers are still around, you just have to find who has them. I know Mad Vapes has them as does Easy Vaping. I'm sure a few other do too. There are now maybe around 150 Vape stores online.

altsmoke.com has the mega dual coils and they are by far my preferred vendor.
