New member: Help with e-juice!

Hey guys, Im not really new here in the sense that I've been reading this forum for 6 years now, though I just made an account. My questions are usually answered by searching past threads, but I can't find any info on this one. There was someone asking the same question a year ago but it wasn't really answered. So I might as well ask again lol.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to make a DIY juice that taste like Smokeless Image's Volt 555 tobacco flavor? Or who actually manufacturers it? (If I'm not allowed to ask that, please let me know).

I know Frisco Vapor is supposed to be similar but I didn't think it was to the degree I'm looking for.
Hangsen 555 was ok but I still had to mix menthol in with it to cut out some of the (too sweet) taste of caramel. That's the problem with most tobacco flavors.... they are much too sweet for me. I don't like sweet flavors as an all day vape.
Volt's 555 was the first juice I tried 6 years ago, helped me quit cigarettes and I haven't ever found anything else like it.
I spent months recently waiting on a restock of Volt and spending tons of money trying different company's and flavor groups, yet I'm still not satisfied with any of them.
I can't afford the prices anymore at the amount I use weekly so I really want to try to make something like it myself.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you all,
Larissa

All that I can tell you is Smokeless Image's e-liquid brand name is Volt. Smokeless Image commissions an unnamed Chinese manufacturer to make their Volt e-liquid lineup. That it is made in China is why Volt is cheaper than those made in the USA. That is not to suggest that Volt is a bad e-liquid, it is very good -- the lab makes their e-liquid to US standards. It is just cheaper to make in China.

I know this because I used to work for AltSmoke, a "sister" company to Smokeless Image. The two companies are separate businesses but share the same warehouse in New Philadelphia, Ohio. At one time AltSmoke carried the Volt e-liquid but it looks like they have discontinued.

Just a wild hunch, it could be that Smokeless Image decided that it wasn't worth the financial investment to comply with the costs involved to make their liquids compliant with the new FDA deeming regulations. The $300 application approval fee for every flavor and every nic strength is a lot of money, with no guarantee that the e-liquid will become approved.

After saying that, I know that information doesn't help you with your problem.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I vaped SI 555 Tobc flavor years ago and my notes indicated it had a very strong tobacco taste with power TH. I have never ran across another like it nor would I ever try to duplicated the taste. I know how you feel, had the same problem with a TAB Blended and could never come close to getting it right and that's with a flavor mix available. Percentages, mix flavors, human factor with perception coupled with way too many permutations may make duplicating SI 555 impossible.Could try to sample tobacco offerings from Chinese manufacturers (Baitude above) offerings such as HS, DK and the like. The following may help you in finding an alternate/approximate DIY mix:
Favorite tobacco flavoring discussion - Tobacco flavoring discussion only
And if you Googled : "Workgroup Tobacco Reviews : CloudCollective (see PRO TIPS)" you may find some more information.

Anybody know of another tobacco flavor/brand similar to it? It has this buttery popcorn smell when vaped but it doesnt taste like popcorn...it's not really sweet like a lot of tobacco flavors...it's so unique I literally have never found anything else like it. The main difference I've noticed about it compared to a lot of tobacco juices is the color of the liquid... Its a pale, almost clear goldish color.... not dark at all. I've found that I do not like dark juices and most tobacco flavors I've tried tend to be darker than Volt 555.

Usually 555 juice almost always smells and tastes like Chinese food (to westerners), but I've never gotten any buttery popcorn from it. I think, what you're looking for, is butterscotch tobacco. It has that buttery sweet tobacco that you're looking for.

There are hundreds of different flavors of that particular flavor, but you can order 100ml for 10 bucks at Yaeliq Butterscotch Tobacco » Yaeliq Or whever they deliver faster :) Buuuuuut I'm pretty sure it's the butterscotch tobacco youre looking for.

Small world, I was visiting our Twinsburg, OH office a few years ago and heading from there to our Dayton, OH office, I purposely went through New Philadelphia to stop at the AltSmoke shop to browse and compare it to other B&M shops. I still use the AltSmoke shop in Springfield, OH as it's close to our Cincinnati office.

If you haven't looked at it already you might find some usable info on page 299 of this thread The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long). Have you tried the ohm's vapes they mention https://www.ohmsvapes.com/?

Good luck with your search, my favorite juice manufacturer went out of business on me a few years ago, I understand your quest.

Based on that description you could start with this:
    555 Gold by Inawera

Then get some additive ideas from here:
    555 recipes.. pls post some.
