Hi! I’ve been a vaping since 2011 and originally started after 20 years of smoking. Never looked back! Still vape old school with mechs and RDAs. Thanks!
I gave up on mechs myself. I use regulated mods now, but basically otherwise similar. If RDAs are preferred squonking may be a useful thing. It’s just a juice bottle attached to the RDA through a hollow bottom feed pin and you squeeze it to drip. So kind of an auto dripper. The bottle can be quite large so they are commonly used by long haul truckers.
I fairly recently bought a mech squonker kit sort of by accident. It was $20 for everything including a battery.

I forget what I’m running on mine atm. I keep it in my car. For an RTA, which is generally what I use in the house, I’ve got a dead rabbit 4 rigged single coil. It’s pretty good. I know what I would want to see for a dead rabbit 5 though.

The thing actually has a bit in common with an old aromamizer plus I’ve got. It was my daily driver but I switched from 100%VG to primarily pg juices, and the aromamizer is bottom feed and doesn’t handle thin juices very well. It had a replaceable deck though which kind of rocked.
You could buy multiple decks (which I did) and use them like cartridges. The dead rabbit has a similar though smaller layout, and is top air, so you get gurgling instead of massive messy leaks (the aromamizer plus was 15 or 35ml. It could get seriously messy) but I would put tips on both ends of the cotton and feed them through the wick holes and cut them on the other side, which both simplified things an assured the wick hole was full of cotton. It would be nice to do that with the dead rabbit. You need a removable deck though.
