Hello everyone, new member here. I first tried vaping back in 2010, my first kit was from Smoking Everywhere and I was very unimpressed and went back to regular smoking till about 3 months ago. I was a pack a day smoker for about 15 years (19 total) and was able to kick with a combo of the patch, which I am now off of, and the disposable cigalikes. I initially used them for the really intense cravings and the throat hit, which was my favorite part of the analog experience as well as the stimulant effect of the nicotine. I began to notice all the ....ty rechargeable kits that I was able to try were just not cutting it and I was getting sick of spending 8 bucks on an Njoy that would last me a day, at best. So, I jumped on the old internet in search of something better, there had to be,right? Im super stoked I stumbled upon the forum, cause it opened up an entirely new world for me. I had no idea the community was this huge, let alone that there was one at all. I thought I was doomed to the Njoy's, Blu's, Etron's, Mystic's, Fin's, etc. Cannot begin to explain how giddy I got looking at all the options that are out there, thanks to this site. I'm choking back my last disposable (well, not my last as I'll keep a few on hand for emergencies until I can build an arsenal.) as I type this because my first real kit arrives today. I decided to go with the Halo G6 starter kit based on some of the reviews I've seen here, and basically being able to try one out from a friend who owns one, as well as the Triton. I decided to start small and then work my way up. I spent an evening using both and enjoyed them both thoroughly. I still prefer the cigalike batteries, as I enjoy the action of smoking and holding it between my fingers. But I still plan on exploring and working my way up and using mods as well. Well, just wanted to get my first post in, say hello, rabble rabble rabble. Sorry for rambling and hello to everyone :)

Cheers

Been there! Tried the cig-a-likes a year ago. Back to smoking in a day or two.
Bought a Kanger Evod Starter kit for new years resolution. Aint smoked since.
Yeah, there are the mods and the cartotanks and all manner of upgrades but for my minimal investment of $40 for a good starter kit, ego style batteries that are also 510 threaded, I can try a multitude of hardware for cheap.
Decided I like a bottom coil and after trying a few different tanks have decided I really like my mini ProTank2.

No, I dont have an end all setup with a powerful mod and enormous tank but I also have 3 weeks of no tobacco and a dozen different juices, half a dozen tanks (mostly evod style with some CE4s and a couple of bigger top coil tanks).

Ive got about $100 worth of tanks and batteries now plus about $60 worth of various juices. My wife and I have both quit smoking now, share our hardware and no longer are spending $400 a month between us on cigs.

A few ego style batteries (the EVOD 650mah starters and a couple of 1100 mah winders), some decent tanks is all it took.

Since I was born to tinker, I am sure a shiny monster Mod and a bunch of DIY experimenting is in my future but certainly for now, I am pretty happy with vaping the gear I have

Good luck and welcome.

Cheaper, healthier, and go figure, I can taste and smell again!

I too had tried the other not so great disposable e cigarettes and couldn't stop smoking using those. Then I found the Rocket E CIG and it is amazing. I don't crave a cigarette even though I was smoking 2+ packs a day around 45-50 cigarettes which is so much ! Now I have a variety of vape flavors that I absolutely love : bubble gum, solar flare (cinnamon), banana split, strawberry banana, & chocolate. I'm glad you found something that works for you ! Good luck on your journey of quitting. :D

Thank you all for welcoming me, much appreciated. I wanted to spend a day with my kit before replying, and I can safely say that I'll definitely never pick up another analog ever again after experiencing what vaping has to offer. More than happy with my G6. I ordered a manual and an automatic atty with my kit to really get a feel for both of em, and so far I cant really decide which I like better cause they both work awesome imo. But eventually I'll figure that .... out. One thing I learned fairly quickly was not to order pre-fills (came with the kit) and to go with the LR carts. Will definitely be ordering a few mini tanks to try with next time as well. Their liquids are pretty damn good and live up to all the hype, although I cant say they're better than other brands as I have yet to try any, but they are damn fine and tasty, especially the Midnight Apple, Torque 56, Belgian Cocoa, and Captain Jack. All in all, more than happy with my purchase and cant wait to see/experience all the other awesomeness that vaping has in store.
See you all around the forum :)

Cheers
