Hello,
Thank you for letting me join the forum. I look forward to all the info on here.

After smoking almost 2 packs a day for the last 30 years, I quit analogs just over 3 months ago. I started on the patch and when that wasn't enough I started supplementing it with the disposable NJoys from the local convenience store and was still having a problem with the stress of quitting. A friend of mine let me use his vape for a weekend about a month ago and you could not pay me to smoke another analog.

Hey YogaMist, welcome and congrats on staying off the smokes! That's a rough ride going cold turkey. So glad you found vaping and that you've managed to avoid going back to the smokes. Coming off of two packs a day, I bet you'll be amazed at how much better you'll be feeling. I managed to finally find vaping, for real for real about three weeks ago, maybe a month, not sure and haven't smoked since then myself. Gotta love an alternative that actually works and is definitely healthier. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Thanks! I am loving being able to breathe easier, taste and smell. It is also SO NICE to be able to go to parent/teacher conferences or any other of my daughter's events knowing that I don't smell like an ashtray. That was part of why I decided to quit. It was downright embarrassing. Now I am able to spend more time with my daughter since I'm not running outside all the time to smoke. She has a high sense of smell and it very happy about it. My daughter is 9 and she told me she was worried about me getting sick from it as well. When I first started vaping, she walked into the room and said 'Wow, it smells like honey in here!"

LOL, yeah my wife gives me a hard time (good natured) when I am vaping something that smells really good as she says it always triggers a craving or something. I really am in agreement that it is nice to not smell like an ashtray. Right now I'm also getting a kick out of watching the reaction I get when out in public and vaping... Hehe I used to feel like I was doing something weird like a druggy would do or something like that, but quickly got over that feeling and now I enjoy it and look for other vapers in "the wild" so to speak. ;)

Hahaha, I understand! My new hubby and I were on our Honeymoon in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago. We were having dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and I was vaping as we were waiting for our meal, a police office came over to the table after seeing the vape. I quickly showed him my pv and said "it's electronic." He just said "Ohhh OK" and off he went.

Husband also quit the same time I did. So we are a dual vaping family.

Your post reminds me exactly as to how I felt after rushing outside for a quick smoke and coming back indoors knowing I smelled like an old ashtray. Wife, a non smoker, sweet as she is even mentioned it to me a few times. The worst time was when I went to visit a family member in the Hospital sick with Cancer and was asked to leave because the smell was so repulsive.
