Errr, it IS vapers with an "e", right? :2cool:

Just want to say hi and share my story as an intro. My name is Pascale. It was taken as a username, so I chose pascloud - get it? hehe

So, my last cigarette was Wednesday October 16, it's still hard to to believe. I've tried to quit before only to last a day or two. I'm a 35 year old woman, smoking since 14. 2 young children. My husband quit smoking 2 months ago after getting bronchitis and started smoking Blu ecigs from the 7-11 down the block. I was happy for him...staying off cigs week after week. Meanwhile, I kept on going to bed with a scary heavy chest and smelling my stinky clothes at work. Now, where we live (NJ) $8 a pack a day is a lot. I wasn't exactly liking the cost of his $10 blu ecigs he'd buy everyday. I knew there was better out there...well, cheaper. That's all I knew. But I do remember my cousin smoking this "thing" last spring at a family gathering, he said he quit smoking. He called it a vaporizer. So 2 weeks ago I started looking online to find a local vapor shop and finally found one not too far. We went in, got educated, bought a starter kit (2 eGo Twists with the clearomizers, a charger, 4 juices and some coils - hope I got those terms right!) What can I say now? I'm a vapaholic!!! I'm assuming I'm not the first person to use that word...it just seems like vaping is so rare, yet I recently find out 2 of my online 'mom friends' have been vaping for a while. Geesh, it's more popular than I thought and I wish someone would've told me sooner! Not only will our lungs (and lives) be saved, but our nicotine habits will go from $400+ per month to less than $30 I'm sure. This is revolutionary, exciting and I feel a passion coming on. <3 LOVE!!!

I've been reading through the forum (it comes up for all my google searches), watching youtube videos, visiting online stores and learning what I can. I think I've finally learned the parts of my PV, but that's just the start I'm sure.

Thank you all for having me, it's so nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to hanging around! I suppose I need a few posts before starting threads to ask questions. I do have a few!!

Glad it's working for you! What juices did you get and how were they?

The 4 I got with my kit were from a local shop called The Vapor Store in East Rutherford, NJ - www.thevaporstoreonline.com. I got Whipped Cream and Lemonade/Menthol. Husband got Tobacco Incognito and Gangster Grape. They were 18mg nicotine and I'm not even sure what PG or VG percentage they were. Then I read up on PG and VG and nic levels and found a recommendation here in the forum for MaddCatt Vapors MaddCatt Vapors. I noticed they have re-occuring $10 specials on 30ml bottles, so bought 3 with 75%PG and 25% VG. (still learning what PG/VG mixture is right for me or is best) and 12mg nicotine. One was a menthol too powerful for me, I figure I'll keep it to use as a mixer when I want to add menthol to something. Also got Blueberry Waffles, Vanilla Custard and Cherry Burley (cherry tobacco). Both places seem to have good juices as far as quality, I can't complain. And are USA made (that seems to be important) I'm a newbie though, so maybe I don't understand quality quite yet. But both places also STRESS the quality and are full of pride of their juices.

Congrats. It sounds like you are doing everything right. Now the vaping evolution begins. If I may offer you a bit of advise, if you come to feel that this is a long term investment to you; read the different sub forums on the devices (APV) specifically among others. A lot of us spent a lot of time and $$$ on equipment needlessly by falling for the advertising hype only to find that it was just hype and not what we wanted or needed.

WElcome Pascale~

I like the equipment you chose and it's great to hear you are excited and successful with this.

Is your hubby sharing your set or did he also get a kit?

Remember to get backup......anohter battery or 2, and an extra charger. Things happen.

Congrats~!

Thank you! Yes, the kit came with 2 twist batteries, we figured one for him and one for me. But we're like vultures for the ONE charger! lol Ordered 1 cheapo one on ebay last week which was junk and doesn't work. Booo. So I actually just ordered another 2 batteries and a 'real' charger today.

Welcome aboard pascloud. Whatever works for you is only one you have to please. I'm sort of an old duffer. Smoked tobacco alittle over 52 years. When I started vaping I was going thru 2.5 PAD. That's pretty much all the time. I vaped like I smoked, pretty much all the time. Means big battery mods. I waited in line for the ProVari to start shipping. Think I waited two months for mine. Then I had to have a spare for backup. Then the Mini came out. I ordered PG & VG by the two gallons at a time. Nicotine by the Quart. Loved Cinnamon flavoring, can't even remember what size it came in. Then. . .got concerned I might be inhaling too much cinnamon. Left it out of my next DIY batch. (You gotta try DIY, really lowers your cost). 24 hours after using the no cinnamon batch I discovered I'd ADDICENTLY left the nicotine out of that batch also. Decided `Who needs it`. That was the beginning of the end of my vaping. Feb 6th was my last vape. No urges for tobacco or vape anymore. Don't mind being around vapers. . .can't say the same 'bout smokers. Good luck with your quit(s). JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu
