Hi, everyone! I'm so glad I found this forum. I've been lurking for about a week after my brother introduced me to vaping. He was able to quit analogs completely for the last 5 months or so, and I thought I'd give it a try as well. He took me down to the local vape shop and bought me whatever I wanted. I got myself set up with a couple of Vision 1300 spinners, a Kanger Uni-tank and an iclear 16 (oh and a smattering of sample liquids). I figured, start out with simple and effective and learn what I enjoy best.

What can I say but WOW! I tried the disposable gas station cigalikes several months ago, and was less than impressed. Fast forward to present--clearo/tank plus VV battery is WAY more satisfying. No more stinky sticks for me--ever! I'm already waiting on my first vapemail only one week in to vaping, lol. From what I read here, gotta have backups, and backups for the backups, right? So, I've got an MVP 2.0 on the way (I know, not a Provari--I'm more Ford than Ferrari, lol!). A large tank (or two), maybe an RDA, and a bigger mod is on my shopping list to pair up with that MVP:vapor:.

So, anyway, I've already spent the last week pouring through this forum (and watching that RiP guy and PBusardo on YouTube) for information on vaping. Geez, this is gonna get real fun. I plan on figuring out rebuilding over the winter break (I'm a poor college student right now--sigh) to keep myself busy. My Christmas wish list has spools of kanthal, mesh, cotton, and various tools--my mom asked, "Are you studying to be an electrician, now, honey?" Well, I do have extensive math and physics knowledge, so I figure I can put it to real life use, and see if I learned anything from my studies, ha!

Sorry this got kind of long. It's just that I'm so excited to have found such a welcoming and knowledgeable forum to talk about my new love of vaping and learn much, much more. Thanks for having me in the "vapeclub."

Great news! Good brother!

For some of us, 'simple and effective' isn't just what we start out with, it's what we stick to.

Enjoy!

Very true. There will always be a place for the eGo batt/clearo in my vape kit; I'm just so predisposed to tinkering with stuff, and what better way than chasing after the "perfect" vape, lol! And yes, I thank my brother every day for showing me a way to get of the analogs. And when my younger brother (who smokes, too, bleh!) is ready, I plan to "pay it forward" and buy his first setup, too.

I would recommend trying out a few different types of tanks. I used the cartomizer tanks for about a year and i wouldn't touch anything else. I tried the first protank and was rather disappointed. Then i decided to give the bottom coil cartomizers another shot. I got the anyvape davide bcc. Im loving it. I also got the dual coil version and its even better. Plus it looks great on my provari.
