Hi all.

I guess I should do the into type post thing. Hi guys, I've been a smoker for about 25 years or so. my wife bought a blu and it was going to be delayed for something like 2 weeks, so she ordered a greensmoke starter kit. the greensmoke was pretty good, the blu came in about 2 days afterwards. I tried the blu, and hated it. I used the greensmoke for a week while I ordered some juice. after refilling the cartomizers, I discovered the greensmoke (it an e9 that's been branded) carts don't refill well. they have an inferior batting in them, and they have a tendancy to clog up. While I was playing with the greensmoke, I ordered 1 kr808d1 from vaporking and a package or carts, and fell in love. the kr8 is SOO much better. the battery lasts longer, the cartomizers hold more, and they don't clog up like the E9's do. so I'm trying new juices, and since my wife has the blu and greensmoke, she started using them and found out she's allergic to PG. I've been buying different brands of both PG and VG, and have found that a mix of both works best for me. I get good vapor, and good flavor. I've ordered a new flavor, TW's decadent vapor absynth, and I'll be ordering some tasty vapor (mixed pg and vg) on monday (which according to geoff is when they'll have tobacco on the site again).

oh, I've been vaping for about 2 months or so. I've been looking at a chuck for my daily PV.. any thoughts or suggestions? I can get the slotted 901 adapter for the chuck so I can keep using my kr8 carts.

Welcome!! I don't have a Chuck, but mods are terrific and more satisfying, imo. Lots of satisfied Chuck users too, so you can't go wrong that way. I prefer boxmods myself. And the adapter is also a good addition - suggest getting a 510 Chuck or whatever mod you decide and getting the 510 to carto adapter. That way when you fell like trying out juices outside of the carto flavors, you'll have the best atty available for good vapor. Get a Joye 510 if you go that way.

Hmm, maybe I'll try a 510 adapter. I've been hearing/reading a lot about them. thanks for the info.

It's a good way to go - get the mod with the 510, then get this adapter:

AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizers Battery Adapters - Adapters - PV Parts

choose 510 on the batt dropdown and 901/KR808D/greeencig in the atty dropdown - works great with cartos or with the 901 when you want that experience. And you can still have big vapor and the enhanced flavor on the 510 with the tobacco, coffee flavors.

The only benefit to having most mod is long lasting battery. IMO there is not that much more vapor or throat hit. Of course I have only tried the 3.7 volt. I have ordered another one with 6 vols. Hope this does better. I would certainly not recommend a 3.7 volt mod.

They are also very expensive. I pay $80.00 for my first one and still had to buy batteries and a charger. You still have to charge batteries just not as often. Maybe I not getting the benefits of a mod like most people.

I have TW's DV Menthol and I am pleased with it but want to try some of the others. Could you describe what that DV Absinthe tastes like? I was looking at their flavors but there are no descriptions on some of them which don't have self evident names like apple. Absinthe, Parma Violet for example.

Absinthe of course is a anise (licorice tasting) liqueur and it has a variety of flavors which DV has pretty much nailed, imo. DV says there's 20 some herbs and flavors in there but the predominant one is anise and a bit of citrus - lemon balm? - the wormwood aspect is a bitter note, there's somes floral notes - it's soup and hard to totally nail each thing down but that's what I get from it and if you look up Absinthe and follow the links in wiki - it will give you a better idea than I'm giving you.

The Parma Violets - had to look that one up but it seems it's a common English candy that has a violet taste and it is sweeter (and a bit tart) than most of the other flavors. I don't know if they still do this but TW was sending the actual Parma Violet candies with an order of DV eliquid - they are small, round and in a cellophane pack like a roll of pennies but not that big. Sweet tart violet and that is what the juice tastes like to me. Interesting, and not offensive just not for me. I've recently gotten the Lotus Flower - again interesting - a bit sweet and it does taste like a lotus flower smells. I like it better than the PViolets.

Better, to my palate and a surprise was the Ylang Ylang - not sweet, I don't know the plant, it is along the lines of the Habana Reserve in quality and the fact that there's several things 'going on' there - ie. complex and if someone likes the HR, I'd highly recommend it. It's becoming a favorite fast. Tiramisu - I don't particularly care for the dessert but I've 'blind tested' it by running it by some noses around here and so far they've all said 'Tiramisu'. The Roast Beef is just that, Same with the Roasted Chesnuts.

And it all is made with the highest quality nic juice. There may be others as high but none higher from the numbers I've seen and the unflavored eliquid is crystal clear as is the aqueous glycerin that DV makes for TW. One downside is the cost at TW. For some it may be worth it, for others, not.
