Hi all! New here as the title says. My husband and I just got the Joye ego-t kits a few hours ago after trying a "bandy" (that's what our brother in law called it) a couple weeks back. We actually liked that one too, but after watching youtube reviews and speaking to the vape shop people we picked from the ego line.

He and I weren't heavy smokers, went through a pack a day together on a seriously stressful day. We were "creatures of habit and location" smokers that went nuts when we tried to quit with lozenges and patches though. Went with 24 juice to start, thinking it might be a little much but would curb cravings better than 18. We have both strengths though just in case. Caramel macchiatto, atomic fireball, and sour watermelon are the current favorites. I thought it would be really hard...but I'm actually surprised at not missing cigarettes at all. Though that may just be a first day thing? I find this satisfies my cravings so well and tastes SO MUCH better that all I feel right now is relief at a choice well made. Hopefully the feeling lasts!

The shop we went to was great. I don't want to name drop in case that is in violation of rules, but they were very helpful and let us try 3 different types with any juice we wanted. We were in the news today for storms and tornado touchdowns, so the shop people told us to stay there and ride out the storm in house on their juice LOL! Our daughter was at school though, so when tornado warnings were heard on the radio we opted to bolt home. It was nice of them to offer though, and I feel like we are off to a good start with a great proprietor.

I found these forums looking for the correct way to drag off a e-cig, and it was very helpful. Holding the button down 1-2secs before makes all the difference! I find I release the button a little before I'm done with a drag, though I don't pull hard, I wonder if that will bust my atty? I'm happy with the 5 click on/off feature as well since we have 2 small children. The juice is locked up, and we'll store them at night with batteries charging and the atty's in a safe place elsewhere just be sure.

Love all the info here, going to put the search feature to work as an official non-lurker now!

Welcome to ECF. You made a good choice with the Ego's. Most people just starting out get them as a first PV. If you didnt smoke much then they should last a long time and give you good results for the duration. You dont have to worry about how you vape a atomizer. Really if you found the way you like to vape it then stick to it. I went straight from a mini to a Provary but thats cause I like variety. Even when I smoked I never stuck to just one brand. Also the 24mg was a good idea since your Kicking so many other addictive ingredients that where in cigs. It will still be hard to stay away from them for a few weeks but after you cross the threshold you can lower your mg.

welcome to the forums. I too started with an ego-t and enjoyed it greatly in its time. I'm sure you'll get plenty of PMs asking you the name of the shop, we all like a good brick and mortar shop and your glowing review of them is sure to pique someones interest. Remember to drink lots of water. Most people run around borderline dehydrated and don't even know it, vaping will bring that right to your attention if you are. And don't be afraid to try a new juice/cartomizer/vendor every once in a while, there's a lot out there and everyone has different tastes. Good luck and keep at it!

Thanks :) I'm glad to know we didn't noob too hard on the ego or juice strength haha! The lady at the shop was pushing for 18mg, but we still went with 24mg in our favorite flavors. Easier to dilute once your out of the shop than it is to wish you'd bought the stronger one. I have to google "provary" now, I had no idea how much variation was possible! Before I knew cigarette/clove/hookah bar flavored tobacco and thought that was enough to keep track of, heh

Good to know about hydrating, had no idea! I'll give the name of the shop to whoever wants it of course, I was not thrilled at the prospect of my first purchase being online. Future ones though, especially reputable online retailers people here would recommend, then sure! I'm all for trying new flavors, I'm curious as to how the ego itself can be altered with different parts. Learning curve deficient here still haha. I know there's a bigger battery and that's about it.

Read the forums, watched some vids, and hugged my spouse :)

Personal note regarding first 24 of vaping vs analog: I have developed a sinus infection, that somehow is still contained only within my sinuses! Normally they make my whole face feel like a shotgun blast zone. They had swollen up so badly they were pressing down on the nerves of my upper teeth. Hurt so badly I couldn't eat, and waved everyone off in a trollish haze of pain. This is a circumstance where I probably would've hugged my smokes and hid out until the dentist appt, but I was totally ok with my ego in the situation. After delivering 2 kids (one natural), I can honestly say that that pain was right up there with contractions. This is big in my world as one of my habits was to smoke more when stressed.

dlsw I'm grasping the luck more and more with every juice thread I read! My shop is in the "recommended" thread, I'm going to chime in my support for it as well once I have enough posts to contribute there. The sinus infection is under control, I have a pretty cool x-ray pic of what it looks like, but I'm weird like that. Human bodies are amazing. I have antibiotics, vicodin, and the dentist numbed me up so I could actually eat lunch today. Hubby got some cheesecake too, plopped the painkiller on top like a garnish earlier :p I'm already a million times better than this morning!

I'm still in the "OMG ITS ALL SO DELICIOUS!" glory phase of vaping (LOL) but I can honestly say in my sampling spree at the store that their juices tasted as advertised on the label to me. The ones I didn't like were ones my husband wanted me to try that I already knew I wouldn't enjoy. I just didn't have the heart to turn them down since he was so happy with them haha!

Congrats!! I started with the ego-T over 6 months ago and plan to stay with them. I have the A, B and C attys plus the Vision EGO clearomizer, which rocks. For me, as it was for you from what you said, the nic juice has been enough- the other almost 4,000 ingredients in the nasties are not needed. Pretty cool devices!! I just wanted to try them and did not really think abt quitting completely- but I did. Yea for all of us! Over 46 yrs of smoking is just a bad memory now.

The constant hydration is a must, tho the sense of smell returning is often way TMI- some smells I just did not need to know abt- ever, ha. The taste buds also get very fickle but they seem to finally settle down. The few times no juice had a real taste, I ignored it and just kept vaping. Have fun!!

Haha :D speaking of that flavor, I used to buy some absurdly expensive cherry smokes as a coffin nail splurge, so I guess I can't talk *too* much smack on that specific one! Oddly enough, I got a clove sample thinking I'd love it and was so self satisfied at the thought of not shredding my lungs for the flavor. It was like cinnamon water though :(

The ones my husband liked were tea/herbal ones. I'm a coffee girl myself, so I obliged...but it was with forced enthusiasm!

Congrats and welcome to ECF!

I'm still new myself, but loving every minute of it!

Thanks, same here :)
