Now we will see if I can finally get rid of the traditional cigarette. I'm hoping to eventually switch over to just vapor and completely rid myself of cigarette smoking. So far it has cut my cigarette use in half and I just bought my ecig yesterday evening.

I can't wait to spend some time cruising around here looking at all the information.

Welcome and congrats on your quit! I'm so happy its working for you so far. Just remember, DON'T pressure yourself. Drink tons of water and try to look at this quit differently than past attempts. Thinking of it as switching brands was very helpful to me. When I decide to say I'm quitting it brought up all kinds of anxiety and fear. You don't want to do that to yourself. Take it easy and don't worry about cigs you still smoke concentrate on the ones you skipped. You will do great!

Thanks everyone for all the encouragement. What an awesome forum!

Hey Beans, great suggestion. When I woke up this morningI wanted a cig and was sure the e-cig just wouldn't cut it and I got all stressed out. I really need to look at it like a new brand. I'm going to do just that.

I really don't know what kind of e-cig I have. I looked all over the instructions and nothing for a brand name that I could see. I do know it is an auto (yeah, I know...bottom of the line.LOL) and the only info I could see was that it was an e-cig. Not much help huh?

I thought to start off it might be best to have something more in line with a regular cig size, but I stayed away from white. Got me a nice shiny red one. HAHA Actually my choices were quite limited. I bought it from a smoke shop in my town and that was after driving around all day to different tobacconists trying to find something I liked. My buddy had bought one just like mine the day before and I had used it a few times and liked the throat feel I was getting from it. I figure it will work to at least get me started and it only set me back $50 for the starter kit.

lol, me too, Beans -- did you get one at the mall kiosk like me? Cost me about $200 for the cigs and supplies i bought and i only used it a couple weeks also.

And OP, dont put pressure on yourself like everybody else said. For me, the stopping cigs just kind of happened (which was weird cuz its never "just happened" anytime in the last 30 years that ive smoked). Kind of happens when you vape a lot and then try a regular cig and it tastes like .....

Thanks Dotma.

I have thought about trying some cartomizers, but not sure what size I would need. I thought I had a 510, but noticed that the threading on the atomizer and battery look opposite of what the atomizers on the retail sites show.

Perhaps when I get home I can take a picture to show what I have. That would be much easier I'm sure. Best I can offer now is that it came in a white box and was marked E-Series. Helpful huh? LOL

I started e-cigs a week ago. I know what you mean by there is NO information on them to let you know what you have. I figured it out by looking at the label on the charger. I googled that because I needed an extra charger and it let me know that I had a Joye 510 model. I am really glad that is what it ended up being because of the upgradability! Yeah I know that isn't a work, but I am making it one! Read everything you can. This forum is great for newbies like us. Anything you want to know is here in some form or another.
