New member, just wanted to introduce myself!

Hey fellow ECF members!

My name is Zeeshaun. Living down here in the great state in Texas. I found this site while trying to research electronic cigarettes. I have been smoking since i was about 17 years old (now 23, going on 24). My analog of choice is Marlboro Menthol Silvers currently. I quit once for about 6 months but the stresses of life brought me back to my demons. I have come to the realization that a person cannot and will not quit cigarettes unless they really WANT to. Problem is, I actually enjoy smoking, thus i am looking into the e-cig. The smoke coming out of my mouth and nostrils is my satisfying factor. Currently i am still on analogs and i hate the habit. I am sick and tired of covering up the smell with AXE and gum for my job, school, etc. I hate hacking up my lungs in the morning, spitting left and right throughout the day. My father was a 2 pack a day smoker for 50 years. 4 years ago, my old man passed away due to cancer (RIP Dad). I am an optomistic person and would like to live a long and healthy life but these cancer sticks are just getting in the way. I am very active, i run 40 miles a week, play basketball on a daily basis (i got a pretty mean jumper ). I have been consistently smoking about half a pack a day for 6-7 years now. It is time for a change and i am really hoping the e-cig can be the answer.

I have been looking at the JoyE 510-T and the MKII Screwdriver tank (i think that is what it is called). I am just unsure of which to get. I dont really care about what i looks/feels like in my hand. Its the visual vapor/smoke that my forte. I am having a hard time finding a honest business that i can purchase either product from that will sell me a GENUINE product and not a knock off. Problem is that there are way to many scammers out there trying to make a quick buck.

Either way, sorry for the long read, just wanted to drop a line and say hello and any advice, support, or positive reinforcement is appreciated. Thanks for your time guys!

hi Zeeshaun. I look at vaping vs. smoking like this. I hate smoking. I hate the flavor, the taste, the smell, the cant being able to breath, should I go on? But I love to blow smoke! I love the hand action, as I call it! I love to smoke while on the phone, while having a good conversation! One thing i told myself when I quit smoking and started vaping was that I did have a cigarette in my hand. I also told myself that I love the vapor flavor and all the choices around. I have ordered from v2 cigs once. Recently my vaping buddy turned me onto totally wicked, and since then I have ordered from them twice. We like them! but everyone has their fav store! Hello and welcome. I was a half a packer too. I enjoyed it but the side effects were annoying and I couldn't justify the health risk. Been vaping away for near two years now and loving it.

There are a ton of companies trying to make a quick buck. 1. don't spend more than $35-40 on a 510 or kr808 kit. Look at the forum suppliers list from the link at the top of the page. 2. as for the screwdriver, I would just get an ego/riva kit instead. You can find one for under $50. The screwdriver is an older device. I'm sure people still use them, but the ego or riva will give you so many more options later on. I would really recommend the ego or rive rather than the 510 just because the battery life will probably become an annoyance with the 510 batts. You can still use the same atty's if you like. Well hope that helps and keep the questions coming.

Hi Batgurl! I am just like you! I LOVE blowing smoke. Me and my buddies love to see who can blow the perfect smoke rings. Hand action doesnt intrigue me. I have been checking out Totally Wickeds site and i really think i want to try the SD MKII with the tank upgrade. I was reading the reviews on it and it looks like it will fit my personal needs and wants. But i totally understand the fixation of smoking when out with friends. Everynight after work. Me and the guys meet up at our usual hangout spot and kill a couple of packs between the hours of 9pm-12am. Hanging out without analogs just isnt fun. But like you, i hate the taste, smell, and other after effects of smoking. Feeling like donkey dung gets old after a while. Like i said, i live a very active lifestyle and me smoking just does not fit the equation of my lifestyle. I actually am an accountant for a premier health and fitness club here in Houston and im pretty sure i am the only smoker employed there. I go to great lengths to hide the fact that i am a smoker because it is very frowed upon at my workplace. Thank you so much for the warm welcome!

Hi and thank you for the warm welcome. I feel at home already! I have been doing some research on the EGO, the EGO-T, the SD MKII w/Tank upgrade from totally wicked. I read a few reviews where the EGO-T was regarded as a fluke device. Problems with attys crapping out, poor vapor production, stiff suction, etc. The original EGO seems to have solid/stable reviews but i was not overall impressed with the batterly life. The EGO seems to fit the bill for indivisuals who are concerned with the PV looking/feeling like a REAL analog. As mentioned before, i do not care about that aspect. I just want the visual vapor to satified my needs. I need my PV to last long, i.e. more than 4-5 hours. I am a busy accountant who is always on the go. I spend more time in my car than i do in my office, home or car.

I know i am a noob and i am NOT plainly asking," hey what PV should i get?". My needs and preferences are specified accordingly. Basically, i need somthing i that will not crap out on me, will give me excellent vapor production, have an excellent battery life, easy to use, etc. The SD MKII seems to fit the bill but then again, what do i know?

Eitherway, i am looking to make my purchase i 2 days time and i currently have 16 analogs left in my pack currenly. I really hope this is the last pack i ever buy. If anybody would like to make any kind of suggestions on what else i should research, please do not hesitate to respond, i am new to all this and i am open to any and all suggestions.

Once i have my PV figured out, ill then need to research the pros/cons of both VG/PG as i have read mixed reviews on both variants and health concerns. I am leaning towards a predominat VG e-juice for the vapor production but then again, i would like a bit of TH too which is solved with PG from my understanding. I am a tad weary of PG because i have been reading about respitory problems and drying out issues. I also read that VG may cause stomach isses due to it being metabolized as glucose/sugar, etc. I dont know, buying an e-cig is a bit overwhelming for me currently. But im not a quitter and will persevere.

Again, i really appreciate the warm welcome, i really feel at home. Veterans, please go easy on me, as you can see, i am not some schmuck asking random questions. I am trying to do as much research on my own as possible. I just need a little help and guidance. Thank you for your time and patience guys!
