Hi all,

New to vaping. Smoked analogs for 25+ years with smokeless, then went straight smokeless a few years back. After hating the teeth stains I couldn't shake, i picked up a mark ten to try. Not bad but not enough.

Then I proceeded to an ego starter with I guess a ce-4. Got some replacement heads and the first one wouldn't hit, so i watched some vids and rebuilt it. The leads were twisted together. Fixed that and got her to glow, tasted burnt right off, no good said I. Went back and got a nautilis mini and an evod 950Mah for a backup.

So far have tried flavors from Smokeless-u, Haus, and Vapin-Plus. Got some VG USP to dilute with and learned how the mini don't like it much. 1 gal of PG USP coming in through tractor supply on the truck. Watkins cherry for first off the shelf flavor to re-flavor the 2.4mg I diluted with VG. Got some replacement heads and soon to pick up some 28ga kanthal for rebuilds.

Next I want a cheap RDA to try and gonna see if I can slip in an istick 50w when they come out without the misses killing me, lol. Maybe the Aspire mini will do better on it than the ego/evod sticks.

Haven't had any snuff since I started, LOVE the vape, all the joys I had in analogs with more and cleaner flavors and soooooo much less harmful.

Oh ya, bout 1.5 - 2 weeks into vaping so far. Did I mention I REALLY like it? Stilll tryin to convince the misses it ain't really smoking and way less harmful than even the snuff / chewing tobacco.

Learned a lot here so far, thanks for the forum, and thats me! :D

The first week is the hardest for most people, since you hit the 2 week mark, you're set, congrats.

When I talk to people about it being vapor instead of smoke, I explain it like this: Smoke is created by setting fire to something. Analogs are a perfect example. Vaping doesn't have a spark and no fire to get it going. Heat turns the liquid to vapor. A boiling pot of water is a perfect example, you can lean over it and breath in the vapors, but it's really hard to set a match to it.

to ecf Kurr. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. Just happens to be the best place in the world. Congrats on the vaping. Isn't it wonderful. Continued success to you and I look forward to reading more about you. Sort of like a family around here so. . . make yourself at home.

Welcome! and I am super glad you didnt give up when that first CE4 wouldn't hit, also I would suggest trying out some places like Mt Baker Vapor as well as VapeWild for places to get cheap only in price juices. also I Have vapin-plus around here as well and it seems like Everytime I would use it it would end up flooding my tank have you had any problems with that?

Sure, but only being on the mini a week, and still learning "the draw techniques" I cant honestly say it was the juices fault, so if it starts to not hit right and I know its flooded, I just go up in airflow, maybe an upside down hit or two and its back.

Right now I got 50/50 (eyeballed) Haus Cherry and Vapin plus Menthol, kinda reminds me of Robitussin. Flavor is good, maybe a little heavy on the menthol side, vapor production ain't really there for me. But the vape shop that wasn't open yesterday should be today so if I can get into town maybe I can get that 28ga kanthal and try a proper rebuild on the bvc coil. Fresh flavor, fresh coil / wick seems to make sense to me!

Tried to reuse the original wire last night and it was "tiny" thin, and I learned they get real brittle and snap off. Fingers crossed for proper wire. 3.99 per coil aint got me smiling, that's for sure!

I believe that could be the case as well and I can definitely understand why it wouldn't have you smiling! Haha

Howdy,

Ok, so the pot of boiling water analogy is..well just don't use my mod because I can and infrequently do set my mod on fire by accident and each time I've got to replace wicking material. I'm getting better though, only twice this week which is a record.

One truth about the RDA's, you can go big and then reduce the airflow down if its too much. Remember to buy for maximum options rather then limit right out of the box. I'll never use 200 hp in my car at one go, but I got it just in case :).

Wire at 3.99, good god alive where are you buying your supplies. Ok, so look up a place called Temco ( TEMCo Industrial Power Supply ), you can get 100ft spool of wire for 6-9 bucks and 28 gauge is cheaper then 6 I believe ( A-1 Kanthal works well). Yah no need to overpay for supplies when there are tons of options out there to vape cheap n good.

I agree with the HP analogy, which is why I wanna wait for the Istick 50w, cheap way to see if I wanna sub ohm when I get the rda.

Misunderstanding on the 3.99. That isn't for wire it is from a flea market for replacement BVC for the Nautilis Mini. Actually from a flea market case before I found out the town had a Vape store in it. Hopefully may hit it up today to price and get some wire.
