Hello All! I've been lurking here for awhile and finally taking the plunge to posting. I've quit smoking several times over my 22 year smoking career. The most recent time was about 3 years ago. I bought a starter E-Go 2pk and was doing great until the battery died on the first one and I grabbed the second one to use while #1 was charging. Whatever factory oil they used to put in these guys out the gate wasn't removed from #2 by the store owner who sold them to me (he did set up the #1 though) and it made me sick for days, so right back to analogs I went. I'm now trying again and at about a month in I can say that I think I'm done for good. Something I honestly had my doubts would ever happen. I really enjoyed smoking and I thought I'd be a lifer. I'm so glad now that I gave the e-cig a second chance, rode out some initial bumps and now it's actually working out for me!!

So far I've figured out that I have a very low PG tolerance and any juice with more than trace amounts of PG makes me ill. I'm searching for that perfect 100% VG juice and I seem to have a drawer full of steepers but no keepers...yet :p I still have a couple more packages coming in the mail based on ECF member recommendations so holding out hope.

I'm currently vaping on a Mini Nautilus with an Itaste VV v3 and I also have a Kanger Aerotank Mega and a starter set EVOD 2 with some extra tanks hanging out. I bought a decent mod, made coils at the B&M where I bought it but haven't messed with it much since. I'll get there but my priority now is finding an ADV that I like so much that I can't live without.

So that's my story and I'm stickin to it :vapor: It's been great reading this forum for the last couple weeks and I hope to stick around and get to know you all better while soaking up all your vaping knowledge.

Happy Clouds,
~Cam

Haha! I've been reading on my cel...it's a whole lotta zooming in and out and moving around to read posts!
Welcome to ECF Cam! I appreciate the font. Didn't even need my readers.

Thanks for the suggestions and the warm welcomes!

I've tried quite a few B&M's in town and most all of them have had taste bars, I've found that taking a hit in the store doesn't always equate to chain vaping at home, sadly. Some that I've bought I can only handle a couple tokes at home before I'm feeling yuck, some the flavor fades very quickly, one gets a minty aftertaste that just doesn't go with the main flavor at all and I'm totally not a mint fan. I've found a peanut brittle that I'm mixing with a waffle flavor that I'm digging...that may suffice to say I've got weirded out taste buds, lol!

hey welcome Cam!
I thought I was the only one that had that problem at sample bars, tastes good there, I buy a bottle and get home and load a tank. Then I am like what the hell is this? I usually don't steep, because the few times I did the flavor went completely flat, though some did get better. I find my tastes change throughout the day also, I guess a touch of "vapors tongue".

Thanks again for the welcomes!

jaba62 ~ You're not the only one at all! I've built up a drawer full in my nightstand of juice I liked at the store but couldn't come close to finishing a tank of. The steeping though has helped a bit. I have a banana cream pie flavor that had a horrid mint aftertaste, steeped it for 2 weeks and the mint is gone, replaced by an actual pie crust type flavor! I'm glad I tried it again but when I first brought it home I was ready to trash it. I'm guessing the sample I tried at the B&M had had a couple weeks of sitting/steeping time, maybe that's where the differences come from?? Idk?

Susan~S Finding an ADV is turning into the hardest part for me too. I thought I could just dump out a flavor I didn't like, do a little tank cleaning and put in a new flavor but it hasn't worked out like that at all. I've been soaking the coil in Vodka and putting in a fresh one and cleaning everything else in running water but I can't ever completely get rid of the old flavor. Makes it really tough to try new flavors. I'll get to rebuilding eventually (somehow I just get a super nauseating burnt flavor so far, lol) but if you or anyone else has any pointers for tank cleaning between flavors I'd be super grateful.

Turismenteng ~ You may want to start a new thread and title it 'Switching to mech mod & dripper help" or something similar, just so that more people will see your question and be able to help you. I'm not quite there myself or I'd be happy to offer you some advice.
