Hello all!

I have been vaping for a year now...I ordered a starter kit off ProSmoke and quit traditional cigs as soon as I got my e-cig in the mail. I now have my wife interested in going this route as well. We are looking for tank starter kits that we can customize. I have no idea what batteries fit what tanks and so on, so this is very confusing to me. I quit using cartos after about 4 months because I realized how much money I was wasting, but I want a tank so I don't have to add a couple drops to my 3 pc setup every hr or so. Any help or website that I could go to and customize one or 2 tank start kits would be amazing. This is so confusing because there are so many different combos out there. Please help! :)

Frankly Pikestr, I found your post a little confusing. You are looking for tank starter kits that you can customize and you don't know what batteries fit what tanks, and now we're both confused. Next, you quit cartos because of expense and want a tank so you don't have to drip every hour or so.

I think you are asking us for a good starter kit, including batteries and "toppers." Ok, recommend the My Vapor Store kit:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Suggest two Spinners with two EVOD's to start. By tanks, I think you mean clearomizers, or clearos, which include the EVOD's. The larger clearos like the Protank and the Davide are very nice and will work with the Spinners suggested. Sounds like your existing or previous kit was a dripper, an atomizer if you will. Yes, these are a PITA. EVOD's and Protank/Davide will solve the dripping issues. We have a strange language in VapeWorld, so I think I'm addressing your question, but still not sure. Perhaps you can clarify. Basically, there are three parts to this equation:

1. The battery (PV or APV)
2. The Juice Delivery Device, or Topper, including clearos, cartos (and tanks), drippers (atomizers or RDA's), and rebuildable atomizers (RBA's). I think you need some clearos, but am confused by what you call "customization tank starter kits." Not clear on this point. By customization, do you mean the ability to change toppers, i.e., to customize your setup?
3. Your juice (eliquid)

Okay, you quit cartos because of wasted money and want a tank. Cartos are actually pretty cost effective. Usually last about a week, more or less, and cost about a buck. Clearos require replacement heads, last about a week, more or less, and cost about a buck or two. Cartos are generally thought of as a slightly better vape (vapor and flavor), but are often thought of as more advanced devices (for some reason) as being more difficult than clearos (debatable). Cartos can be paired with a tank (a carto tank) and can provide one of the better vapes around, imho. Anyway, I've given some information, but really need some clarification from you, as I may be way off from what you are asking about. Any additional information, perhaps a description of what you're using now, will help all of us respond to you.  Best to you!

When I bought my starter kit from prosmokestore it came as a 3 pc. It has an atomizer, battery, and cartridge. My atomizer's have lasted months at a time, so I have no complaints there. Their pre-filled cartridges would last me about 2 days tops. I was spending about $40 every 2 weeks on cartridges. I use their cartridges still, but dry out the filler and then put my own e-liquid into it. One cartridge will last me about 2 months with my e-liquid. The e-liquid I buy is 15ml cost $17 and last just as long as the pre-filled cartrdiges. So, essentially I'm cutting my cost in half. I hope that makes sense

Now, what I'm looking for is something that I don't constantly have to carry my bottle of e-liquid around with me everywhere I go to constantly drip. Also, I'm looking for some variations in colors. But I also don't want anything with high maintenance because when one of my parts break I go into panic mode because I can't just go down to the store and get a repair (you know, like running and buying a pack of smokes) Like I said, I'm new to this as far as building my own set. I really hope this makes sense.

Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | myvaporstore These are some good tanks. I recommend Vision Vivi Nova tanks. I have had the best luck with them. When the coil burns out, simply unscrew and screw a new head and done. I would say make sure they are Vision and not Smoktech. I've had nothing but trouble with Smoktech. Forgot, The glass tanks are for the more corrosive liquids. They have been known to crack plastic tanks.

How long do the coils usually last? I think I finally got a grip on all this lmao. I'm just trying to find the replacement coils on the website. I like the spinner ego/twist combo that you linked.

Yes, the My Vapor Store combo starter kit is quite excellent. Understand what you are looking for now, thanks for clearing that up. A couple of variable voltage ego style batts with a couple of good clearos will fix you up fine. Still suggest the EVOD's, bolstered by the Protank/Davide clearo tanks. Great starting point. Best to you!

Hrm, this sounds like the old ego atty cartridge combos... would be in the right time frame....the one on the left is an older Ego cartridge (you can still find them, but they aren't as efficient as the one on the right, a standard cartomizer.

For tanks, especially for someone just getting into vaping, I'd advise the vision spinner battery with EVOD heads like the wizard linked (Mr. Billbeckusa, of course!) The EVODs come in varying colors and are easy low maintenance compared to the vision Vivi novas (at least in my opinion. For me, the novas were nothing but fiddly)

Hope this helps, for now, sleep calls to me....

Thank you for all the help. Going off this website start kit and combined information, I have picked two Vision Spinner 1300mAh batteries with 2 EVOD Clearomizers. What else would I need to add for breakdown or replacement parts. Is there a certain atomizer that works with these? I'm really sorry for being such a newbie but this is the only way I'm going to get my wife off of traditional cigarettes and help save me a fortune. She hates the thought of carrying around eJuice everywhere she goes, and I would like to get away from it as well.

EDIT: I found out that I need to buy replacement atomizers heads and it looks like I'll be good to go. Anyone know how long these heads usually last or how many extras I should buy with my starter kit?

That's good kit. You do need to buy a few replacement heads and don't throw them away after they're done. Easy to re-coil and you will want to do it later one.
How long do these last, ?You will know when it is done. It just taste really bad and you can no longer clean it. Look at some videos on how to clean and dry burn on Utube when they go bad.

Ask here if you still have questions.!
Enjoy your vap.
As always, back up and back up!

Cheers

I was wondering about this recoiling. I'm going to buy about 10 extra heads, but I'm sure I will do the recoiling myself, as I usually stick with the same flavor and this seems cheaper than replacing heads all the time.

Thank you all for the information, I think I'm felling good enough about this to spend the $100 I'm about to. I'm not made of money by any means and this will hurt my bank account, but I know I'll save the money in the long run. Thanks everyone!

Good deal ...I normally get stuff from MVS in about 2-3 days with the "cheap" option for shipping... they're wicked fast.

PBusardo has an EXCELLENT video on how to recoil the heads for you to check out as well, for when you're ready to do it...

Myself I've got about 6 of the EVODs, and two protanks, the EVODs being my go to delivery devices when I'm not using a cartotank. I think I get on average about three EVOD tank fills before the heads start to get sluggish, I just pop 'em out, wash them under some hot water, blot dry with a towel, and drop them in some ultra-cheap-no-one-in-their-right-mind-would-drink-it vodka overnight, and air dry them the next day. The only times I've done the rebuilds was to try some cotton wick in them.

They last a long time and are troopers.

Here's the pBusardo youtube:
