Hi everyone,

I've been lurking and using the info on this forum for a long time, but I am really in a pickle now and could use some help.

I have gone through two Ego-V V2 VV passthroughs and my second just .... out on me today. I may be able to fix it my soldering it but I want to figure out if I can just get a replacement through my supplier first.

But basically, I am sick of Ego products. I have spent a lot of money optimizing my vape setup, I have a Kanger Protank II, and I am sick of going through batteries.

What I am looking for is something >$100, variable voltage, 510 threaded, and strongly would prefer a passthrough (similar to that of Ego-V, mini usb type). Is this just a pipe dream? Am I going to have to live with my replacement Ego-T I bought from a smoke shop earlier just to vape?

It would be nice to have a tank with separate, replaceable batteries as well, so I can have a few and keep them charged and switch them out, although I don't know if I can do this in conjunction with my above parameters. Although I guess if I had that, a passthrough wouldnt be needed.

I have been studying up for about 6 months in the vaping world, but I am still fairly new although I understand the basics fairly well. Any suggestions for me on what tank to buy?

Thanks a lot.

What you are calling a "tank" we refer to as a Mod, a tube to hold rechargeable batteries.
The Evic is the only one that comes to mind with the pass through option, Joyetech eVic Starter Kit | Joye e-Vic Ecig APV this seems to be the going price for the kit, I'm sure others will have a cheaper place to buy.

Alright, as far as I know there are no mods that use replaceable batteries that can be used as a pass thru. I know with the Provari, you can buy a passthru kit that will allow you to vape on it with a wall plug, but I don't think it simultaneously charges the batteries.

There are plenty of decent mods at your price point though. I am a bigger fan of the Sigelei Zmax than the Vamo, but both are solid mods. If you do some digging, you can find good prices. I got my Zmax from VaportekUSA and I'm very happy with that vendor. Be prepared to buy the mod separate from the batteries and charger. Most mod kits come with terrible batteries and an even worse charger. I know Fasttech has a Vamo kit with a nitecore charger and good batteries, but otherwise, stay away from the kits.

Some other good ones to consider are the MVP 2.0 and Joyetech's Evic. The MVP 2.0 does not have replaceable batteries, but you can use it as a pass thru. The 2.0 version has VV and VW, along with a resistance reader. The Evic has gotten reviews both positive and negative, but the device will charge batteries, so you could get by without buying one.
