New to the forums. Been vaping for about a year. Quit smoking 3 months ago. Started with a Haus from the gas station, then went to a mad-vapes VV setup. Now I'm vaping with a Vamo V-5 and nautilus mini.

Been working out longevity, the current setup seems to be working well. I had moved to purchasing my fluids from ITC vapes, as it's cheaper than buying from local stores. Now just decided to try and mix my own. Just placed a purchase from My Freedom Vapes.

Anybody have any advice when mixing liquids? I get the base concept of diluting the nicotine with VG, and adding flavors. Just have never done it before. I"m not scared of the ratios and stuff, worked in the labs while I was in college and always got A's in chemistry. It seems weird that the different flavors need different dilutions, but we'll see how it goes.

I've been thinking of trying some rebuildables, but I think I'd need either a mechanical mod or something that puts out more power for that. I may just get one of the 100w+ box mods that are out, just hate having to pre-order and wait.

Hi Sean, Congrats on quitting, and welcome to the forum. You don't need a new mod to start rebuilding, IMO. Get a small, simple dripper, like an Igo L, some kanthal, some cotton, and a meter to check your build before firing ( you could use the Vamo for that, if needed, it has short protection). You might want a more powerful mod, if you like dripping, but I'm running my kayfun on a V5 Vamo right now, at 11 watts.

Welcome Sean! How is the mixing your own going? Are you finding it difficult or fairly simple? Do you prefer it over just buying the premixed eliquids? I have found that even though I am going to the same local stores and buying the same brand/flavor that there is a variation from purchase to purchase on strength/flavor. Do you find that when you are mixing it yourself?

Thanks for the advice. I may go ahead and try that. I'll look up the Igo L.

I haven't actually mixed my own yet. Just placed the order before joining the forums. I hope it's fairly consistent with the juice mixes and flavors. I imagine the usual seeping time and flavor changes will apply.

I imagine I will find it better than buying or mixed liquids. The total order was like ~$160, which seems like a lot, but with even a liter it will have paid for itself. Imagine how much you spend with buying 15mL or 30mL bottles. Even if you buy the cheaper $15 30mL bottles, you're paying for 33 bottles. That would come to a total of $500. I'm just not sure how fast I'll run through the flavors. Some call for a 20% flavoring. Making a 15mL flavor produce 75mL. Others say maybe 1-5% and will produce much more fluid.

So. Just went a little overboard getting into this big time (for me). After buying so much fluid.......

Now I ordered a sigelei 100w box and a fogger v5, and a tugboat RDA clone, and some 26/28 gauge wire with Japanese cotton. My wallet hurts. Also 2 LG he2, and 2 vtc4 re wraps (xstar I think).
