Welcome to ECF!
I know what the ego Twist is. If you are fully aware of its workings or functions, the following video tutorial for the Vision Spinner (another very similar ego battery to the Twist) may help:

There are several juice delivery devices that you can use on your Twist battery. To better understand them, read this picture dictionary that I made for beginning vapors:

Yes, finding "your juice" will be as important as finding the "right gear" to make a successful switch from smoking to vaping.
Best advice is to try many different flavors that appeal to you from several different vendors until you find some that work for you. Even after finding a couple favorites, many of us long time vapors are always sampling new flavors. I currently have probably over a dozen flavors that I use in a weeks time, and commonly switch between 3 - 4 in a days time.
Probably the best way to go about this is to purchase sampler packs of flavors from those vendors that offer them. This way you aren't wasting money on larger bottles that you don't care for. Once you find some winners, buy more in a larger quantity.
You can sample flavors in your dripper device you said you have. I assume this is a dripping atomizer. If not familiar on how to use one, you can find a demo on You Tube.
Since you are a 1 1/2 ppd smoker, I'd recommend purchasing your e-liquids with 24 - 32 mg of nicotine. Many of us are able to reduce the amount of nicotine as we progress, but don't worry about how soon to do this. Concentrate on getting off of the smokes.
Just remember, there's no "best way" to give up the stinkies. You can choose to give them up cold turkey, or allow yourself a cig during really bad cig cravings while you vape. Before long, you'll begin to prefer vaping to smoking and be able to totally give up the cigarettes.
"It's not the cigarettes that you smoke, it's the ones you didn't that count."
