Hello!!! I am new to ECF - I have been lurking for a while and finally took the plunge to join. I quit analogs a year ago, and even though I have a year of vaping under my belt, I still feel as though I have a lot to learn. I was using just regular eGo 650mAh batteries with clearomizers, but recently upgraded to my first twist vv. Still waiting for my tank to come in so I can really get the full effect - but haven't figured out which setting is right yet. Like I said, I'm learning. I'm open to any and all advice and appreciate all the knowledge that can be found here. I look forward to meeting more people who enjoy vaping just as much as I do!!

The twist is a great beginner's device. I think I would (were I able to) start everyone out on a Twist and Cartos. If you have any questions feel absolutely free to ask (trust me, I have and still do). There is definitely a learning curve and don't get bummed out if you get a bad carto. I am unsure what kind of tank you are planning on getting but if its a carto tank, carto punches (adds extra holes for wicking) are only 3-7$ and are definitely worth the buy!

Cheers and Vape On.

A lot of folks swear by charts and this V should work best with that ohm kind of stuff. For me all that produces is burnt wicks and juice.

If I'm trying a new juice or delivery device I simply adjust the vv to the lowest setting and gradually work my way up in V's until I find what I like. After you mess with it for a short while you'll learn what works best for you.

In other words there is no 'right' setting, VV is all about being able to adjust for different devices & juices and tailoring them to each individuals personal preferences.
The only wrong thing about VV is when new folks crank it up too high due to #'s in a chart or someone else's recommendation then push the button and wonder why everything tastes burnt.

I really wasn't having luck with the clearomizers. I don't know if its where I was getting them from or if they were a bad batch - The metal bases kept going bad (that's what I was told anyway) and the batteries were no longer working with them. So i bought the following:
one - Boge F15 2.5 ml Tank with a pre-punched cartomizer - this has a 2.4ohm tank which is SR I believe so should be okay for both batteries.
one - Vivi Nova mini tank kit with replaceable heads - this has 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8 ohm heads and I don't know which will work best with which batteries.
The main batteries I will be using are the eGo twish 650 mAh - and the ego 650 usb passthrough. I hope I bought the right stuff. I felt like I was wasting money on clearomizers all the time since they kept breaking.
Many thanks to everyone for the help and advice. I knew joining here would be great!!

Start with the volts on the low side and slowly increase until your satisfied with both flavor and taste. Don't worry about what anyone else is doing adjust slowly up till you start to get the burnt taste and back it off a bit. There is no magical number, it's mostly based on what juice you have and the device. The vv is designed to take the brain dead portion out so you can have the vape you should be getting....cheers
