Hey everybody,

I just registred here hoping you guys would help.

Here's my story, im gonna try to keep it short :)

Last week i got an Ego ce4 with a couple of cartomizers.. It worked fine til yesterday.. it started to work randomly.. like the button still lights up when i press on it.. but i can't hear that "sound" it makes when it's actually working..
when i take puffs.. there's no vape or whatsoever..

Other times.. it works fine for one or two puffs.. then nothing..

I switched the cartomizers.. same thing.. I don't know what to do.. I tried to "play around" with the center pin thingy... trying to "pull it out" gently.. but I was too scared to break it so I stopped..

I really don't know what to do.. It didn't fell on the floor or anything.. And it has a week old... So I believe it's "fixable"..

Does anyone of you has any experience with ce4 like this ? where it works pretty much randomly ?

It's really pissing me off.. and I don't have anything to smoke right now.. :/

Thanks for reading my post.. and sorry for my poor english.. im not a native english speaker

If its happening on multiple clearo's then it is more than likely the center post on the battery got pushed down. Very, VERY carefully use something like a tweezers and pull up lightly on the center post. Just enough to lift it up a little in the rubber gasket. This should fix your problem. It usually happens when they get dropped or over tightened. I know you tried this but if its not far enough it won't touch.

Ok, the LED on the battery seems to indicate it's still working normally. And the problem is happening with more than one clearo. It still sounds like it's a center pin issue on the battery.

A very common mistake for new users is overzealous screwing. Stuff should never be mounted more than finger tight. If you can't get the clearo off the battery in a one-handed operation you are screwing things on too tightly. "It's not working! I'll screw it on even tighter!?" and it only makes a bad situation even worse.

Try pulling up the center post again. Less is always more when you do this, and it may take a couple few attempts to get it up high enough. If you can find some small tweezers with very sharp edges to them those some times work very well to grip a center post.

again it just worked for 2 minutes.. and now it's not working again... Grrrrrr this is driving me crazy.. I don't understand why it works thenjust stops working knowing that the only thing i do in between the 2 puffs is puttin it on my desk ..

If I lift it up "a lot" that center metallic is it gonna break / fall or something ?

Ps. am i supposed to lift the metallic part alone.. or the rubber ring around it as well ?

(Noob questions probably I know.. sorry.. :) )

nope.. im not really an electronic guy.. im more into computers..software stuff :/

should i just keep "pulling" that thing up until it gets to work ?

do i have to apply some sort of "strenght"... or keep it gentle .. coz im to the point where it doesnt seem to want to go any more up..

No, it shouldn't take that much. What happens when you hook it up to the charger? Does it charge correctly?

earlier it was.. now it does nothing.. it blinks 3 times.. and the led on the charger is green...

maybe i screwed it up by pulling it too much..?

No, you didn't do anything. If it broke the solder joint the light wouldn't blink, it would just stay green. I'm thinking that either juice leaked into the battery (causing a short) or the board is going bad.

Is disassembling mine could help somehow ?

Taking it apart will definitely not help unless you know electronics repair and you have spare parts. I was just going to show you how long the center pin was and the wire attached to it. I have numerous junk Ego batteries laying around.
