Taking it apart will definitely not help unless you know electronics repair and you have spare parts. I was just going to show you how long the center pin was and the wire attached to it. I have numerous junk Ego batteries laying around.

That would definitely help.. Just to know how far can I go with the pulling .. Thanks for the time spent on my thread DlyDragger :)

Cant the problem come from the clearomizers ? the juice being "thick" blockin something ? I dunno.. Im just tryin to figure this out..

I'm running out of options for you to try. You can safely pull the center pin up about 4mm before it starts pulling the wire. The center pin is the usual culprit but in you case it's odd that it works intermittently without prodding. It's also odd that the charger works sometimes and others it doesn't. It sounds like something is getting hot on the PCB and quits working after a couple puffs.
I'm not really sure of what else to tell you. Sorry.

It stays on for like 15 seconds or so.. then blinks 3 times and goes off...

Does it mean that it's okay ?

(I've been tryin to pull up that stupid center pin... Still nothing so far :( )

Yup - that's means it's working normally. If you pushed it and immediately started blinking and turned off that would indicate a problem. And from what you said in another post it's behaving normally when connected to the charger.

There is a possibility you got a run of bad clearos. Did you buy them from a shop or on-line? If on-line can you provide us with a link? This came up a while ago with someone who got a 5 pack of off-brand clearos and none of them worked right. Three of them were simply shorted. I can't recall the brand name off hand because, like I said, it was a really off-brand name that hardly ever comes up here.

That means it's OK!

Try pulling out on the center pin of the CE4. If you lay something across the bottom of the CE4, the center pin should be even with the sides of the post.

If it is above the sides, it will push the pin down on the battery.

If it is below the sides, it won't make or maintain contact with the battery.

Your battery blinks and the charger light goes green because the battery is charged, I would guess.

Good luck.

Not sure the charger is working right though either. It blinks 3 times but goes directly to green even though he's been using it. That's the part that's losing me.

Here's the pic (linked for big pic):

The Yellow wire is connected to the center pin.

Sorry, my info was for a 510 connection. Lol

The eGo thread on the Stardust is a lot deeper. You can still try to twist the center pin down a slight amount.

You're making me feel bad about tearing these things up and throwing them away, $70 is crazy expensive. An Ego 900 is about $10 around here, $20 for an Ego Twist.

I know.. You guys are super lucky.. 70$ for one here.. and if it doesn't work well.. they're just like.. I don't know brother.. we just import these.. you can try and get a new one.. with a big smile..
You just wanna smack their faces !

Well.. It seems like im gonna have to get a new one.. Ecigs aren't super popular here.. so.. People don't know how to fix em yet :/

If this is a true Stardust + CE4 the coils are supposed to be removable. What may have happened is after a few fills, removing and reinserting the mouth piece, you managed to work the coil loose. Take the mouth piece out and try grabbing the thin metal vent tube on top of the coil with tweezers or needle nose pliers? Does it feel loose? If it does, rotate clockwise to tighten.
