Hi,
I am new here. I just mailed back my first e-cigarette starter kit. I have another brand on the way. The first kit had no flavor. I have desperately tried to quit smoking. My sister has lung cancer. Seems like that would be enough to help me quit. (NOT). Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Also, is this forum free?

Yes, this forum is 100 percent free, with site donations totally optional.

If you want to quit smoking, stick with it. vaping is a different experience, and may take some time getting used to.

Once you find the right model, the right strength and the right flavor, you'll get there.

Don't worry about getting off cigs 100 percent right away. Each cigarette you DON'T have is a small victory, and you'll get it done.

Thanks for the fast reply. The e-cig tha I tried was the blucig. I was not impressed. I have ordered the safe cigs, but am open to suggestions

What did you mail back? Seems like not many people care for the prefilled carts / cartos that usually come with the kit. Did you get any liquid to try? Most like myself seem to change from the first kit they get esp if it is before finding this fourm. Switched to ego type 510 and I am happy with it. Seems like the ego / riva / hello 016 / tornado keeps most users happy.

hi jeat and welcome to ECF! You will find the people here so helpful, and the opinions are never ending.. I really think that is someone here doesn't have an answer to an ecig question here, there isn't an answer

Personally, I started with a joye 510, and it was a great first purchase. I soon found that I hated switching out batteries so I went with an eGo, because it fits most of the 510 parts. The battery life is much better (the riva and hello 016 are similar, with better battery life as well, from what I understand)

Best of luck with your choice at a healthier alternative. I am sorry to "hear" about your sister, I wish that on no one, you're in my thoughts, as is she.

Almost everyone on here seems to have bought some piece of junk the first time. I'm glad you returned the blucig. Personally, I'd recommend you go directly to one of the popular models people here use. They are popular for a reason. I use a Joye 510 and am happy with it and all of the 510 variants seems to be good. If you do a bit of research you'll find they are priced quite reasonably. Try cignot . comor litecigusa. com. Others will have their opinions too for various reasons, the key is to get as much input as you can before making a decision and ultimately a purchase.

Thanks. I smoke Virginia Slim Ultra Lights. One would think that it wouldn't take much to get that much flavor. I recently downgraded to them and they are pretty much like smoking air! With my last order I purchased Marlboro full flavor cartridges hoping that would give me a little kick. Can't wait until they come in. The blu cigs came with no instructions. That was enough in itself to make me return them.

Whoo Hoo, after 2 weeks of research...I ordered and received my e-cig, My choice was the KRD808-1, Manual battery and Peppermint Cartomizers, with 0mg..... It is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a pack and a half a day smoker and after a week I am down to 16 a day....I am going slowly. But hope to be cig free by Sept 1 (my private goal!)......The KRD808-1 is easy with the 2 pc, Cartomizers...I just put in my second order from Vaper4life. it only took 4 days to get!, great communication...and there are coupons out there!
I read somewhere here to just think that you are switching brands, not quitting

Don't give up, Jeat5369! There are a lot of good vaping devices on the market and a lot of options as they relate to cartridges and cartomizers, as well as tasty eliquids. The best advice I can give you is to read product reviews in this forum and don't be shy about asking as many questions as you want. The forum members will be more than happy to help you

Take this suggestion with a grain of salt because everyone has different opinions.

Cancel the order if you can, or send it back when it shows up. Keep in mind this is just my opinion but I believe you'll be equally disappointed with the safe cig. Over priced, crappy battery, can only use their cartridges, etc. Then do some research on here. They are tons of reviews to read, the ECF library is a wealth of information that should not be ignored. Find a decent model that will work for you after you research.

I almost bought a Blu and I'm 100% sure that it would have sucked. I found this site and read everything I could before I finally settled on my eGo. It does everything I want it to and the choices for accessories/ flavors is limitless.

Do yourself a favor and read, research, read some more, and then pick a better unit to start with. You won't be disappointed and you'll save some money.

Hang in there jeat! It can take a bit of trial and error to find whats right for you. Just do your research which ECF is great for and ask plenty of questions. Don't give up.

I ordered several flavors..coke, vanilla and peppermint, the first two were not bad but I didn't think gave the vapor or throat hit ....NOW the peppermint!...wow, it was in vaper4life "Wow Cartomizer" section...these give you the slight head rush/throat hit you want, plus the taste is amazing, I am already preferring the mint to my real cig (Benson and Hedges lite).....Just some info that I so wanted to find here as things can get so confusing for the new person!
