Hello to everyone, just joined and this is my first post. Master Hypnotist here born in Brooklyn,NY now resting in Queens,NY. I have only been off cigarettes for two weeks and could have never done it without ecigs. I personally liked smoking but got tired of people busting my chops about being a Hypnotist who smokes. I tried explaining that people come to me when they want to "quit". Obviously I didn't want to quit. Nobody understood, so here I am, two weeks in. Wish me luck.

Welcome , but could you even done it to yourself ??? I too liked smoking . Sounds crazy but it was the constant glares and my health as well , that finally got me off ciggy's . Glad I did . Now I think I like vaping even more than smoking . As the saying goes , they'll probably have to pry the PV out of my cold , dead fingers .

There is no "real" self Hypnosis. All that is to me, in my honest professional opinion is deep meditation. Now, Hypnosis on the other hand.... I hijack the mind.

Same here, two weeks almost in...
I found out that as long you have liquids that you like, it's no big of a deal.
I almost ran out of my favourite juices after one week and hence almost "had to" smoke. Luckily I didn't!
Now I'm more than determined to stay away from analogs.
...and I'm going to make sure I'll never run out of juices!

Yeah, I smoked a pack and a half a day for 22 years, menthol. Only smoked one cigarette in between stepping up from the Apollo kit to the kgo just to see if I missed them. NOPE!!!!! It's funny how fast they become disgusting. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Welcome! There is a hypnotist who comes to the fair in my town every year and it is my very favorite thing -- so awesome! It is funny how fast real cigs become really really gross! That happened to me as well.

My brother went to see a Hypnotist to quit. It was a group thing and he feel asleep and started snoring. Disrupted the whole thing.

Taught myself to be a hypnotist so don't have any problems exposing frauds. Group hypnosis..... Fraud. At least for habits and addictions it is a fraud, just a way of getting a bunch of peoples money, in a party or stage setting, groups are fine. I eventually took classes to become certified and faster. I got tired of taking 30 minutes to hypnotize someone. Now if it takes me 30 seconds that's too long. I aim for 1-3 seconds to full blown hypnosis. I love this forum by the way. All my online research kept bringing me to ecf to read the threads and posts. Everyone is great, helped me so much.

Do you have a name for him? I might know him. There is quite a few of us ("real hypnotists") running around the states now. What I mean by real hypnotist is someone who can take a person from a conscious state of mind into full hypnosis in a matter of seconds regardless of the environment, scenery, distractions, levels of noise and without any " relaxation" whatsoever. Everything else is hypnotherapy.........BOOOORING!!! nice certificate though it don't mean squat, it it sure doesn't mean that they understand hypnosis and the conscious/unconscious human mind. I can hypnotize someone and remove their phobia or whatever on a noisy NYC subway platform and get the job done before your next train arrives. The evolution of hypnosis is amazing really. Can you tell that I love doing this? LoL

Wow I thought I'd seen everything on this forum!! Lol welcome. I have been smoke free over 3 weeks now. I started with patches and as you aptly named it meditation. I still like the meditation but I knew the patches wouldn't be enough. E- cigs have worked for me. I hope they continue working for you too

Hypnotist, very very interesting. So when you say group hypnosis is a fraud, Im sorry, i dont understand if you mean like oh those Positive Changes places where they supposedly hypnotize you to get rid of your bad habits?? The one that I see at the fair is named Mark Yuzuik. I dont know if what he does is real or not but I tell you what it is super entertaining!
