Hello All;

I am only a few weeks into my e-cig addiction and have been very happy. I bought my girlfriend an ego for Christmas and loved it so much, I bought myself one. Have found myself to prefer it to cigs now which was not something I was expecting. Been a moderate smoker for about 12 years now and after my recent family vacation (everyone in my family smokes) I found my lungs screaming for a break. The e-cig has filled the nicotine void and I am feeling better.

Quick question though. I had heard good things about low resistance cartomizers with the ego and bought some. I also bought a low resistance ego battery from madvapes and am wondering what would be the best cartomizer ohm rating for the LR ego battery? I am running the 1.5 ohm ones from madvapes and they seem to hit better on the standard ego battery. Is it better to get a higher ohm rating with the LR battery?

Loving e-cigs so far and have found this site to be a great tool. Already looking at my first mod. I don't think this is going to be cheaper than cigs in the short run, but it should in the long run once I figure out what I like.

Hello and welcome to ECF! I would think 1.5 ohm would be good but I'm not too sure. I'm currently learning about LR cartos/attys myself. Glad you are here!

Unfortunately I have been unable to get the eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers to fire with this battery either.

I do like the 5 push on/off feature but would probably go with the standard ego battery if I could go back.

This is why I suggest mods. With a 14500 or 18650 battery, you would have no trouble with dual-coil or LR cartos. You might want to consider an Indulgence V3, Silver Bullet, E-Power, Roughstack or other mod.

For your current battery, the Resurrectors from Crystal Clear Vaping work well, or Boge 2.0 Ohm cartomizers.
