I do see that the KR808 is 8mm shorter.

I still think I like everything about the 510 better though.

I can get a pcc starter kit with 2 batteries(1 for me, 1 for me wife), 3 pre-filled cartos, 2 chargers(1 for me, 1 for my wife), 5 empty boge cartos, and 3 different flavors of eliquid for a total of $76

I figure I will do with it like I do my cell. Charge it at night, put it in my pocket before work, smoke on the way to work, smoke a few times during the day, smoke on my way home, smoke twice before bed, then put it on charge before bed. Then just refill it every few days or however often necessary.
My wife won't want to deal with all the bs so I will just prefill her cartos and end up buying her her own case too. Then all she has to do is give me her empties and put it on charge at night.

Is that a reasonable thought process?

Yes. They are last much longer and produce more vapor/TH (3.7-4.2V). But KR808-1 is longer than 501.

More vapor is from wattage not voltage and while the KR808D-1 batt does have 3.7v whereas the 510's are regulated down a bit - it's the combination of voltage/batts and ohms/attys,cartos that produce the vapor. The 510 atty is usually around 2.1ohms whereas most KR8 cartos are higher - some much higher. 510's are known for their vapor because of their stock atomizers.

If you are truly a "light" analog smoker currently, this setup will do the trick. I personally have never had a KR808 battery last a whole day, but it really comes down to how much you use the device. Just like a cell phone, my battery can last 3 days w/o touching a charger, but I rarely hit 400mins a month. My brother OTOH, has an unlimited plan and has his blackberry attached to his body at all times, usually in use. He won't make it through day 2 if he doesn't charge overnight.

It is really tough to gauge another persons smoking, unless you have nearly the exact same schedule. The one thing I would be concerned with is if you have a tough day and "use up" your batt by 3pm, have to wait until it is charged again... that possibility really concerned me, which is why I had a constant rotation of KR808 batts (one with me in the PCC, two home on the USB chargers, one actually being used). You can get around this somewhat with passthrus, whether in your car or if you work on a computer, or have ready access to a 2A wall-USB unit.

Why do you say the kr808 gives a more analog experience?

The KR808 setup (at least to me) looks the most like a regular analog cigarette. Barrel battery, with a simple carto that looks just like a colored filter. With three piece systems you have 50% more hardware to keep track of, with cartos it's just pop on a new one and you are ready to go. You'll always want to have an extra atty with you 'just in case' with three piece systems. Cartos have the "new atty" part built into their system.

It was the convenience factor which KR808s compare favorably with analogs. Analogs are famously easy, just light and go, the KRs are similar, if you take the disposable carto literally (say on a trip, etc).

This of course does not mean that 3 piece models are inferior (FAR from it). The further you get into vaping (most of us anyway) end up gravitating to 3 piece models, bigger batts, filling carts, dripping, DIY. It's possible to do alot of this with cartos, even with a KR808. It's always a tradeoff, complexity always goes hand in hand with flexibility.
