Decided to join the club. Fairly new to the e-cig/vaping scene. While on vacation I found myself on the beach smoking my cigar since Florida has passed a law making it illegal to smoke on condo balconies. I decided I am tired of not being able to have a cigar in the house, car and now not even on the balcony while on vacation. (I decided early on to never smoke in the house or car) I had heard of vaping so I stopped by a local Vape shop, tried some eJuices and bought a KangerTech Evod kit. I was smiling all the way back to the condo while I vaped up a storm in the car. I vaped in the condo, on the balcony and enjoyed every minute of it. Now back home I am vaping up a storm in the house and telling my smoking friends about vaping. Not really a cloud chaser but enjoying every moment of the vaping experiences. I am also looking forward to not freezing outside this winter trying to enjoy a cigar next to a heater.

I have only had one cigar since I started vaping and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to. I kept thinking, I would rather be vaping!

Thank you for the warm welcomeI Seems like a great bunch around here.

Vaping has only presented me one delima. I didn't smoke cigars in the house or car, I had to dedicate time to do it. Now that I can vape I have been enjoying a quick vape on the way to and from work and a longer vape while relaxing after supper. Not that this is a problem really, I just realize I am vaping more than I smoked my cigars. I did go with a low nic to ensure I wasn't overdoing it. I am really enjoying this more that I even enjoyed my cigars.

The way I am looking at it, I can probably vape a week more safely than smoke one cigar. I don't have proof of this as no one does, but my lungs and sinuses say it is so. My wife is also enjoying the free room freshener! :D

Welcome aboard
Just don't flip your vape off the balcony. (LOL)

You make me wonder if this is sage advice from someone who has been there? :D The condo police even gave a family a hard time because a baby threw it's pacifier and it went over one of the condo balconies.

Congrats and welcome!!!

Also...as being a "tech junkie" you'll definitly enjoy tinkering and building your own coils and stuff!! I've only been doing this since the beginning of August and I've amassed quite a collection!! couple mechs, a couple of APVs and a bunch of tanks and RDAs!! I went a little overboard, but it's still better than buying a $60 carton of smokes!!!

Funny you say that, I have been considering rebuilding a few of my kanger single coils for the fun of it. I watched a video and thought, "that doesn't look too hard." We will see if I am a winner or whiner!

Very cool story, Tech Junkie! I know cigar aficionados tend to have a different relationship with cigars, than smokers do with cigarettes. That makes it especially awesome that you were able to transition so easily to vaping. Kudos!

Also, I'm getting the impression you're in Florida (who knows, I'm probably way off. Or you explicitly said that and I completely forgot). If so, that's home to quite a few great vendors. Quick shipping!

I wish I lived in Florida. Florida is a vacation destination. Company has a Condo on the beach as a perk, and a very nice perk I may add! :2cool:

I really enjoy a good cigar but the health consequences really started bothering me. I figured vaping would be a better way to go. A beer and Cigar after a hard day is tough to beat for unwinding. Now that I am vaping I really am not missing smelling like an ash tray or the bad breath that goes with smoking. So far it seems I made a good decision and my wife is supportive.

Welcome Tech Junkie and congratulations on giving up the cigars! I have to agree, its fantastic being able to sit at home in my little study and enjoy a good vape and not have to worry about smoking the rest of the family out. I just make sure my kids don't see me enjoying it soo much, so they don't get into it to early in their life. But they were the ones that got me off smoking after 30 years of the habit. And I agree, its great to not have that awful smell about you and that wheezy chest that went with it. I can actually go jogging with my daughter now and keep up with her!
