hi all,

I used to smoke roll ups easily 30 a day for 10 years. Recently given up (2 months) and am loving the e cig.

I have just bought a new e cig today, however I feel I may have made a mistake, I had a vision spinner but the battery was really poor, so I bought a Kangertech EVOD mega. However it is only 3.7v.

Am I correct in thinking that if I use a coil of around 2-2.5ohm that I will get a bigger drag or vape? I have a menthol flavour as I was using menthol filter tips when I smoked.

Can someone recommend on that or a new cig? I need something that will last me all day really battery charge wise.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

3.7 is just the standard nominal voltage

the ohms alone of a coil does not say much.

I would look at a nice mod battery. The iStick 30 watt (2200 mah) or 40 w (has temperature control if wanted)-(2600 mah) would both work with your tanks.
I am guessing you are in the UK so I will post the links I have for shopping/info there :

The iSticks are about as user friendly as you can find. The Aspire Nautilus mini is a great tank, using it's 1.6 or 1.8 bvc (vertical coils).

Thanks for the reply, am I kidding myself that this EVOD mega is any good for me? I find my VV alot better, Vaping at 4-4.3v and thats the hit I need. Shall I just chuck the EVOD and buy another VV?

So is your evod mega fixed at 3.7 volts ? Is that the problem?

Different coils work at different voltages.
If you are using a coil that works good at 4-4.3, then it's going to taste rather mute at 3.7

Stay calm and vape on. :)

If you want a more powerful e-cig, buy one. Just don't get scammed. (No shortage of that in the US or UK).

Buying lower resistance atomizers is a start.... 2.2 or 2.5 is barely different to a very basic eGo set-up. I smoked roll ups for 25 years and started on this type of equipment. Now, I vape on single 18650 battery mods (anything, almost..) and tend to keep the watts between 10 and 15.
I sometime 'drip' at up to 35 watts, but not often.

(Beer..... or stress......)

Yes, I made the mistake of buying it blind didn't do my research!! I found a chart here and at 3.7v they recommend from 1.7 to 4.3ohm as a good vape.

The charts tend to come up with the possible range of power. A 1.7 would be a good vape.
A 4.3 and you'd need special glasses and a police trained sniffer dog to even find the vapour. :)

Thanks for that, I'm very calm, Just bought the wrong product for me, no drama's though. I don't really understand all the v/ohm combos yet.

I understand those things well (electrical stuff) but what I don't keep up on is the various hardware out there. Lots of folks here seem to immerse themselves in all of the various gear out there now days and know lots about what's out there. Stay plugged into this forum and you will too.

lol, I find the 1.8ohm on my VV set at 4v a good hit. I had looked at the aspire elite on the uk ecig store website. I gather I can add my 510 tank on it?

Forget that shop, seriously. You can do better for less.

A 1.8ohm atomizer set to 4.0v is nearly 9 watts, so yes... that's in the medium power range.
