hi @Suzette Hayes and welcome to the forum. The most recommended setup for a newbie is the Eleaf iStick 30 watt mod (battery) and Aspire Nautilus Mini tank. The best way to find a juice you will like is to visit a local vape shop and sample some flavors. The nic level is determined by how much and what strength you smoked (ex: Marlboro reds, a pack a day) and the gear you will use to vape (as some will use more juice than others and therefore you get more nicotine).

There is a wealth of information found in this forum and many here to help. Don't be shy, just ask any questions you might have.

Good luck in your journey and congrats in your decision.

Thank you all! I have a small battery (I forget the name of it but the battery looks almost identical to a firefly) but honestly it is not my style and not eally satisfying.....my husband has a eleaf istick 20w? I believe and that also really I'm not my style....although I will say the flavor and vapor or I diction is much better and thus more satisfying just it's too BIG....
I really do want to purchase the right thing for me. I know this might take some trial and error I just don't want to spend all outdoors.im on a fixed income and so the money I spend a)is all I get and b)I'm stuck until next month.
There are so many to choose from... and I'm kinda leaning towards the v2 pro line series 3, that does the 3 mediums. I'm thinking future-wise: the word is that e liquid may be banned so better to be safe?

@Suzette Hayes You'll be paying twice what that unit (v2 pro line series 3) is worth or sells for in other places. It does pay to shop. That is an eGo style battery with an old tech clearomizer (tank). Eliquid isn't going to be banned in the near future. If you're looking for an eGo style vape you might check https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/starter-kits-all-in-one-devices/ego-style-starter-kits.html
Here's an eGo at a decent price also https://originvape.com/product/evod-battery/ All you would need is a decent tank to go on it. I recommend getting a glass tank as some juice flavors will crack plastic ones. I would also recommend a tank where you can replace the coils as some of the really cheap tanks are just throw aways.

You can also look for juices a lot cheaper than what they sell at the V2 website. Places like www.mtbakervapor.com/, www.wildvapes.com, are 2 of the less expensive.

Most people grow into the mods (like the iStick 20 w) because the flavor is so much better and the battery lasts longer. You have to find "your" balance in vape, not what someone wants you to have. I would advise shopping around and then ask questions about them in the forum, as it can save lots of money and irritation.

Hello @Suzette Hayes and Welcome to ECF. I was a pack a day smoker for 43 years. Finally gave them up just over a month ago. Was not hard to do either. Look and the Kanger Subox mini. Thats is what I started on and still use today. Smaller size and feels right in my hand, not too bulky. Since, I have bought 6 different tanks to go with it. Max watss I believe is 50 and I usually vape between 15 and 30 depending on the juice I have. Trust me this is just my humble opinion.
Hi and Welcome, Suzette!

There really are some nice starter kits offered online. Have fun looking around at all the cool flavors! It's like a calorie-free dessert menu and can be a lot of fun! I buy flavors online and it's much less expensive.

I have to agree with @Vape Suzette . :) Tasting all the different flavors should be illegal and fattening! lol

Enjoy and ask away any questions you want. Tons of very experienced people here to help.

My dear sister. Give up the thought the big devices are unpleasant. On the contrary when you are deeply in this business you will want bigger mods (For you would at least want them last longer or increase the watts when untimely, gunk placed on your coils and vape is not satisfying). Also you will need bigger tanks to be able to deal with easily and keep more liquid.
The problem is not what device to choose from but to find right device just for you. And ask afterwards how to deal with it in this forum.
When you ask, I suggest a dual evod set (from Turkiye) Someone suggests hero mod +subtank mini. These are all working and worked good for numerous people.
At least you can find your liquid by trying in a vendor. Because the real problem is to find right liquid.
Bear with big devices because they are not uglier than breathing devices when you developed copd.

Well, what do you all think I should go for? Again, I don't want anything too big and bulky but I do want something satisfying otherwise what's the point?

The truth is V2 sell products you and I can buy from all over the place for half the money.
There are even companies out there in 'internet-world' who will charge you four times as much as you need to spend. They achieve this through very dubious practices.
If I saw a model on sale at V2 or Apollo or Vaporfi (grace forbid) I'd find it elsewhere and not play their evil money grabbing game. They pay media companies to make it look they are "no.1" or "the best e-cig" and bribe people to recommend them. It's a dreadful business, you can't trust google on these matters, or 95% of the youtube videos. It's all about the money... your money. Nothing to do with helping you quit smoking.
I bet you could buy a nice Evod e-cigarette with charger and replacement atomizer coils for $30. Just watch some stores, as I have noticed now people are buying small box mods some "starter kits" have gone up to $100 when they were $30 last year. It's such a mad game.
ALWAYS ask first. :)

Satisfaction is going to be dependent upon the battery size.

You seem to want something the size of a real cigarette, but we are all here to tell you that you'll ultimately be dissatisfied with such a small battery. They just don't have enough battery power to satisfy you.

What's the point? TO STOP SMOKING. PERIOD.

Get over any preconceived ideas about vaping. For vaping to work, you need the right size of batteries. Vaping is totally dependent upon battery size.

My tone is not to discourage you, but try to open up your mind to better alternatives.
