I'm looking to upgrade to a higher wattage mod. I currently have the istick 50w , i just got the Herakles atty, so since I'm new to this whole scene I'm experimenting with different settings. What would be the best mod to buy? Something with a great reputation and fits easy it should. Do i need temperature control? I'd like to get something that won't be outdated anytime soon. The Herakles works great at 50w but I hate having something that can do more and not have the ability to do it.

If you can spend $200 you might consider the Cloudmaker Whiteout with the sx350J. Yihi is providing firmware upgrades for that chip. Also, the entire mod is modular so you can change the board as new ones come out. The sx350J can run 150W with dual batteries. Or you can get it with the DNA200 and a lipo pack if you prefer.

Sigelei 75W and ipv D2 are single battery tc mods, both 75W. $50-60 each.

The new Sigelei 150W also has tc, uses dual batteries and is about $100.

The ipv4s is 120W, has tc, uses dual batteries and is under $100.

The cloudmaker looks really sweet, but it's noT available yet is it? It might just be worth the extra bucks to invest in that. I love New gadgets. Lol

I have my eye on it, too. Maybe a bday present to myself :)
Part of the reason i quit smoking was to save money lmao. I've spent over$300 in the last 2 weeks already. But I'm pretty much all set with the right mod for now. I deff want the cloudmaker.

Haha.. that's what we all say. Then a cloudmaker comes along and we're back in the hole again.

I was on the same boat with you..
But the start up cost of vaping (mod and atomizer) could cost you more than smoking...
On the other hand, a good, reliable mod can last you years (or until you want something better, nicer.. or any reasons for you to convince yourself that you need a new mod) which actually make a good mod cost less.
So.. $200 on a good mod is not a bad idea as long as you can afford it.

Btw, soon you will realize that the true spending is not on hardware, but finding the right juice....

What atomizer do you use to try different flavors? I just bought the Wismec Presa and the Cool Fire 4 and love then both, but I can't seem to find a recomendation for a RDA for single coils and easy build?

I use the IGO-W for tasting but they have a single coil version, the IGO-L. Didn't like the look of the L though. And I can always just put a single coil in the W.

Lots of room to build in and a continuous shallow deck that makes it really to wipe clean between tastes. Doesn't hold a lot of juice but it's perfect for tasting. And it's $10-$13 depending on the model.

Nectar Nano. Easy to build and wick plus it has good flavor. Buy the clone from Angelcig for around $6-$7.

Shinyitis! I have it. We all have it to some extent. Some worse than others.

I would highly recommend (from my personal experience) getting a dual 18650, TC, with the sx350j mod. I have the SX Mini s and right after I bought it I found out about the M class. GRRRR-RUFFF! Very bummed on that one. Also bummed about the tube extension (no I have not purchased one). When they get to around $5 I will buy one for S and G's. The battle ax will be my personal carry weapon, replacing my Iphone 6plus that I currently carry. Great little mod otherwise.

I also use the IGO-W for testing juices. It is perfect for that as mentioned by Mooch.
