Temp control advice needed!

This isn't related to your question but my Herekles gets hot pretty fast too. And yeah it def uses up a TON of juice. It wouldn't be that big of a problem except I chain vape all day so it getting hot is annoying. I hate metal drip tips so I replaced it with an acrylic one but when I had the one it came with it was always getting hot too. You might try getting the Starre tank, it's just as good as the Herekles in my opinion & it doesn't get hot anywhere near as fast. I like both tanks so I just switch them out every so often & that helps to not have to deal with the heat.

Finally someone who understands my problem! Haha a lot of people have been speaking highly about the Starre Pro that just came out. I'll definitely be getting that in a weeks time. The herakles is definitely a decent tank, but I'm not used to vaping at low resistance, so with all the juice consumption and battery life being diminished in temp mode I get frustrated. It's something I really need to get used to lol

My solution to the tank getting hot is easy. I have 5 temp control mods and I currently have 4 of them in use with tanks with temp control coils on them. So throughout the day I rotate through all of them. I chain vape on one for 5 minutes, then move on to the next mod/tank/flavor combo. I'm currently using two Atlantis 2's, one Triton, and one Freemax Starre Pro. The Aspire tanks tend to be a bit more prone to heating up.

Another point you have not covered/reveled.
What power setting are you using?
If you are using powerful, powerful+ your battery will definitely drain faster. Your tank will also heat up faster.
Just one of the things to consider. About 30% better time than my IPV Mini2 running 30w.

I'm actually running Soft mode and prefer a ramp up vape. The Sony VTC5's are lasting most of the day.

I use the standard setting. I have no need to use powerful/powerful+ unless i want to blow some big clouds.

How do you like the Freemax Starre Pro? Thats my next tank I want to get if my herakles doesn't work out with the ni200 coils.

Huge flavor in the tank. I read about the leaking issues and made sure to follow the instruction of making sure that the top collar is turned to "Off" after refilling the tank. No leaks so far. It just seems a bit counter-intuitive since it turns "On" when you are screwing the top cap on and turns "Off" when you are unscrewing it. I'm not seeing an appreciable increase in clouds as compared to my Aspire tanks. Perhaps it is the juice that I have in there now, which is a 60VG juice. The juice also has a bit of menthol in it (a bit too much in my opinion) and I'm just trying to vape the rest of the juice that I have (still have about 40-45 mls left). The menthol is a bit strong, so I can't do a very deep lung hit with it, and this is still with mixing it 50/50 with a non-menthol juice.

If you had a better juice do you think the starre would beat the triton in clouds and flavor?

So I loaded the same juice into the Starre Pro that I have in the Triton and vaped them side by side. The juice is Harlequin by Cloudwerks, which is a max VG juice. The flavor is slight more noticeable in the Starre Pro, but the vapor production seems to be about the same. I'm using a 0.15 ohm Vaporshark Atlantis nickel coil in the Triton and the stock 0.25 nickel coil in the Starre Pro.

What setting do you find your sweet spot to be for the starre pro? (As in temp and joules)

I'm using the same setting for all of my TC tanks. 45 joules/watts and 520 degrees. I do notice that with the Starre Pro at this setting, if I take a long drag, at the tail end of it the drip tip gets pretty warm (this is with the top air flow control turned off). With the Atlantis 2 and the Triton, this doesn't happen. With the Atlantis 2 and the Triton, I don't need to vape with the top air flow control on, the vape still stays nice and cool. With the Starre Pro, I do need it.
