New mod but need someone to help with building...

Hi all! I have been trying soooo many different mods and ways to get my eGo working perfectly and think I have finally come up with something that would work, and work VERY well. I have been reading countless posts and have taken all of the good points of what works, taken out what doesn't work and improved upon (in my opinion), the tank system. My only issue is that I have no idea where to go to get this made.

If anyone could pass me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful! Thank you for having this forum and letting me give up those nasty analogs!​

If only I had the time and resources to do this. Plus, I never took shop class in school, lol. Maybe there would be some generous soul out there who could assist if they thought it was a good idea?

I agree, and not having experience is not a very good excuse, in my opinion... experience comes from doing things you've never done before... ANYBODY can point and pay!

It sure doesn't cost much to try!

Here goes...

It's a mod on the eGo-T. It's basically like an inverted tiki torch with a few tweaks. The first is to use more wicking material. The wicking material can be a few inches long with the majority of it contained inside the tank itself and only what's needed touching the coil outside of the unit.

The difference is that the point at which the wick comes out of the tank has a valve (for lack of a better term) that can be adjusted to a more 'opened' or more 'closed' position. This will allow for more or less juice flow depending on the viscosity of your juice and 'on-the-fly' adjustments if you are getting dry hits or leakage.

Another point this would address is that when the wick becomes gunked with burnt juice, the user can choose to either clean the existing material... Or just trim away the burnt portion, move the valve to a very opened position, pull more wicking material through then move the valve back to the original position.

The last tweak is at the top of the tank. The mouthpiece will screw on to the tank which would allow for more easy refilling, and would provide a snug fit, ensuring no spillage/leakage.

I hope that I have given enough detail and this sounds feasable?

Also, (sorry for multiple posts), The valve itself would not be a knob sticking out on the side of the tank, but more of an adjuster that fits flush within the unit. You would be holding the eGo with one hand, and twisting the adjustment with the other as if you were unscrewing the atty from the battery (only twisting the knob and not the battery). Make sense?

Interesting. So the valve could be a threaded tube that could be tightened or backed off bringing the wick and tank assembly closer and further from the coil? The stock version seems to me like an inverted tiki-torch already.

If I gather your idea correctly in my head, the tank would for all intents and purposes be a miniaturization of a kerosene lamp, at least in function. Do I have that about right? Don't see "tiki torches" in my area, so unsure about that...

Let me try to be more descriptive.. sorry for the confusion... Yes, the stock version is pretty much an inverted tiki torch I guess The kerosene lamp idea sounds interesting as well, but not exactly what I have in mind. The CE2 is a cartomizer/fluxomizer which has all of the coils in the tank (from what I can gather) which is not how I am picturing this.

I am thinking of leaving the coil at the bottom of the atty like the current design is now, and also there would still be a tank, however with a screw on top. As far as where the wick feeds through (the actual hole that it feeds through from the tank to the coil at the bottom of the atty)... That hole itself would expand and contract directly around the wick itself.

In other words, it would expand and not be so constrictive around the wick itself which would allow for more juice to flow through, or contract tighter around the wick, decreasing the flow of juice.

I hope this helps? I could make a drawing (hopefully, lol...) and upload it tonight if that would help? I'm not the best artist so it might add more to the confusion! lol.

I also had another thought of adding a 'primer' button or bubble to a tank atty as well. I was thinking about a gas lawnmower in which you have to prime it before starting. I might be way off on that idea, but just a thought.

I think I must be missing something or do not know enough about the ce2 and vortex. I will check those out when I get home. Thanks.

The vortex is like a carto version of the ego-t then. The only thing that comes to mind pinching the wick like that is something like the aperture from a camera lens limiting the light passing through the lens, but in this case limiting the juice 'flow'. I wonder if letting air in through the top of the tank might do it instead.

Loosen this and it flows faster, tighten to close the floodgates. Damn, vapor has to get through here too...
