I'm sorry, if this is not the place for this post, but if so - please, move it where it's supposed.

Here is some kind of stainless steel vial (from survival equipment), which IMHO is suitable for modding:

(sorry for posting URL only, I'm not capable of posting images, not yet).

dimensions: 3-1/4" long x 3/8" outside diameter (5/16" inside diameter), price: $5.50.

Persis, I don't think that they are really stainless steel.. one of the reviews says "Cons: made cheaply. made of the same powderd aluminum as most of the others. turning the caps creates aluminum dust and almost striped out the battery cap trying to remove it" I have a couple at home, I'll take a look tonight, if I remember!

Persis, it could be used but has several drawbacks. It is pretty long so you need a long tube inside it. Doesn't sound like it is made well either going from Bubo's findings, and it probably has several leaking points based on design that would need extra sealing.

The pic with the batteries out, It looks like you can see the dust on the threads even.

Yes Asdaq... Discarted !!!!

I will to try in a near future, to build a suckaton, and Im thinking to use one of this SS tube with some threated cup and some orings, etc, etc.

Famiq - Aceros Inoxidables
Famiq - Aceros Inoxidables
Famiq - Aceros Inoxidables

But, I was looking for a diagram of the suckaton and I cant find it.

Are there some pic or something that explains the basics, and the best OD an ID of de inside tube, and if the tube must have a hole, where, what diameter, etc etc...

Wich is actually the best way to build it.

Thanks friends...

A nipple threaded on both sides and 2 of those caps would work fine, as long as you can work fairly precisely with SS. I would suggest somewhat smaller sizes, but it depends how you want to use it and what you want it to do. Here's the original link with all the info and a very in depth photo tutorial towards the end: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/96580-tube-juice-feeding.html

I know you want to maximize the SS in your build, but if it is a anodized aluminum container, the anodizing keeps the aluminum from coming in contact with juice and minimizing risk. Just a thought.

Thankyou asdaq, I will read and analize completely that tread.

I prefer SS instead of alu, because I work on a metalurgic industry, and I have acces to all the tools neaded to work SS.

Now, I am trying to build a SS carto prototipe like the l3oertjie's one, and after, my intention is to go on with the Suckaton.

Thanks
Gabriel

I'm looking at the laser thing now, and if it's stainless, I'm not very impressed..... the tube seems to be powder coated and is bendable if I squeeze it.... But it does have internal threading on one end and looks to be an appropriate diameter to use....

It's a cool toy for $2.67, but don't pin your hopes on it! (But keep in mind, as a laser it's great to torment pets with...)

and my 5mW green DX laser is too strong to use with my pets (my cat kept chasing the black spot in her eye for a long time after the laser was off)... So, item added to DX wishlist for that purpose... :smokie:
