Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum so let me present myself :
My name's Johann and I'm from France (hence sorry for my imperfect english^^), 29 y-old finished university last year and starting to work as an entrepreneur in the Web world.

Been vaping for almost four months now, started with an innokin Lea, then eGo-T with cartomizers, now dripping in a HH357 with an eGo-C Twist battery and so far lovin'it !

The reason I'm beginning to post on this forum is I'm trying to get around a new Odysseus and having some trouble with it. Works fine except that I got a lot of throat hit but not much vapor (not even half what I get with the 357) and I can't figure out why for the life of me... tried a lot of different wicking methods, different ohms, starting to think it may come from the battery : not powerful enough ? Only got the eGo ones which are 1000mah... What do you think ?

I'll see you around !
Cheers,
Johann.

Thanks for your answer !

Here's what I tried :
- The built-in resistance that came with the Ody was 1.5ohm and it was pretty bad : enormous throat hit, little to no vapor, whatever throttle position I tried... (just one wick)
- made a 1.9ohm res (Kanthal 0.18 millimeters) with two wicks, still too much throat hit, a little bit more vapor.
- now I'm on a 2.5ohm with three wicks, throat hit is a little bit less strong and vapor pretty much the same as the last one. As I said it's less than half the vapor I get with the 357)

Just had a thought : couldn't it be the air input that's too big with the eGo batteries ? The drags are always kinda airy (sometimes there a whistle), but since that's the same batteries I use for my 357 or the cartos, I'm used to it. I'll try to block a little the air passage to see...

Hi !
Though I'd give a follow-up for those having a similar problem :

I tried to block partially the air flow on my eGo Twist by putting the o-ring of a drip tip on the connector. It worked a little bit, and the tight air flow made a little bit more vapor, but it wasn't that good either because I had to increase the voltage to nearly 5volts and the throat hit was too strong...

Finally decided to get a Provari and at 4.2volts with a res of 1.9ohms, I've got decent results. A bit airy, but vapor is correct and throat hit way more managable. Not as perfect as the HH357, but it's closer, I'm finally enjoying it !

Thanks Flyer for your help.

Have a nice vape !
