New owner of GGTS has a question

I wouldn't think it has to do with the battery itself, rather maybe it's the length of it combined with the LR atty and how it's positioned in the connector?
I don't have mine yet, so I can't say for sure.. but I've read about how the connector pole needs to be adjusted, so perhaps it needs to be screwed out a little more because of the length of the battery.

I have a high drain in my TS now with a LR atty (1.3 Ohms). Smoking just fine and no heat coming from the bottom cap.
Do you have a multimeter you can check that atty with? I'm wondering if the resistance is much lower, like closer to a dead short.

Its probably not the battery, check your LR atty. My guess is that the positive (center pole) on the atomizer has been pushed up causing a short. Look at your atomizer, battery connection side and make sure that it is level to the outer thread edge and has not been pushed back and recessed.
Edit: And just a word of caution, if you cannot fix it throw the atty out, it is causing a short and that is pretty dangerous even with the LiMN batteries. Of course the GG should help prevent anything catastrophic from happening, since the bottom spring should collapse. However I wouldnt take a chance.

jg, I totally agree with Kaji. The atomizer is faulty. Sometimes its center pole touch its own threads and sometimes not. Put another one and you will be just fine.

Well, it's only been 5 days since I got my GGTS, and I have to agree, this is one nice vaping machine. It's very easy to fall in love with it and it doesn't take long to set aside all of your other vaping tools.

Here is a pic of a couple atties sent to me. One of them is no good... causing a short and very dangerous if you were to keep it on your device. It would cause your batteries to heat up and possibly explode..... So if your center pole looks like one of these stop using it....
The new atties Imeo has from China with the hard/solid plastic insulator will solve this problem Vapn. Bu, you still gotta watch the old ones. I actually have had that little silicone o-ring pop right out!
You guys are right on.. After reading the posts i pulled that atty i was talking about out of the garbage and sure enough the o-ring looked exactly the same as the picture vapn is showing.. That was causing my AW high drain batt and GG bottom cap to become very very hot in just a matter of two seconds.. Excellent picture vapn, helps us people who are less educated know exactly what to look for instead of reading about it and trying to figure it out.. That atty went right back in the trash..
OK Vapn now solve this one, when I twist on a new 510 it seems to be messing my atty's up and doing this to them, how can we all stop that from happening with the top cap on the GGTS it has that little screw like piece that is the contact and thats doing this for sure, doesnt happen on my SB or any other unit I have, should Imeo be making a bigget flatter piece on the GGTS Top Cap ??? your opinion please !!!
Sounds to me like the centre pole on the GGTS is up too high. Try unscrewing the telescopic section and pushing the centre pole down. Then, retighten the telescope while pressing the button until you hear the atty fire. This is only way to guarantee you aren't squishing the atty with the centre pole.
All new atomizers will not have the ring I asked because they send me the wrong order Boom!!!
But next batch will have it. I dont know what to say about China but I will stop here
Guys, the GGTS push atomizers less than other mods because you can adjust the preassure! Please do it that way:
Unscrew the telescope, screw atomizer and then screw telescope until you feel the resistance.
I dont have any atomizers broken that way for months. Not a sigle one.!

BINGOOOOOOO This is exactly the way I assemble mine when I place a new atty on it. I tighten down on the telescopic parts and keep pressing the button until I hear that magic sound and STOP! Keep going and you are asking for troubles.
