There has been an overwhelming response from experienced Vapers, but what is really needed is input from new members (new vapers). If you have a few free moments to participate it will help the community at large.

I'm new to e-cigarettes; I took the survey. I answered the best I could. As others have pointed out, many of the questions were pretty vague. Smoking e-cigarettes rather than regular cigarettes is not black and white at least for me. I use e-cigs completely differently than regulars.

I agree with Skyblues. I don't feel there is a direct apples to apples comparison - unless I am maintaining the same nicotine level, but I can't know that.

Done. Interesting survey. I agree some of the questions are tricky due to the nature of the e-cig. I haven't craved one at all, but that's because it's always close by and I can use it most anywhere. Not like a cig.

We are doing this research to improve understanding of vaping. If you are asking why people at Penn State in particular are doing the research....we have a College of Medicine in Hershey and departments of Biobehavioral Health and Psychology at the University Park campus. Part of our job is to do research that may help improve health. It seems plausible that ecigs could have a major positive impact on public health to the extent that smokers may switch to ecigs, and so we feel it is well worth trying to understand ecigs and ecig use better, and so be able to better educate our colleagues and the public about them.

I'd speculate that this type of rather generic survey (once complied and analyzed) will not lead to a comprehensive set of conclusions but instead will become the basis for developing a much better understanding of what to ask in future studies (hopefully combined with some meaningful clinical trials). While I firmly believe vaping has saved my life, I would like for a reputable medical research organization to lend weight in the debate with the medical community "at large" and provide empirical evidence to the merits of vaping as a healthier alternative to smoking.

Completed... I didn't like the question, "how do you feel when you can't have any tobacco product, including e-cig."........ Pv's are not tobacco!!!!!!!!!!!!! People still think they are cigarettes... Someone needs to run some commercials ore something, there is too much old methodology out there!
