Hey David I know your a busy busy man, but you wouldn't happen to have any pics yet of the P16 and P18.... I really want to see them. I already know there going to be awesome but I really want to see it. :) :vapor:

I will get some pics up asap as soon as i get some of the final production units in. I had to tweak the dimensions a bit, but that is not uncommon and it's not perceptible dimension changes. They'll still look identical to upscaled versions of their little brother, the 10440 Precise.

I originally estimated 6 weeks, and i think we'll still come in close to that. I'll keep you updated:)

Davids batches are kinda funny due to the fact that he hand buffs and inspects every unit before it ships so, it's not like one big mass mailing in a single day.
When the units start coming in, he usually releases 8 - 12 units a day until he's caught up. At least that's my take on it based solely on observation and from being involved in a few of the new design pre-orders / releases.

They do take a little (OK a lot) longer to get but you see very few complaints or issues with them. It's worth every minute you wait, once it finally gets to you.

I'm in line for this one and am also antsy to get it.

As I, but I have other PVs to satisfy my antsyness in the mean time so my knickers don't get in a twist.

Shawn,

You're thinking of aluminum. The P16 and 18 are stainless steel. The upkeep is zero to minimal.

You can't anodize SS but you should be able to powder coat the outside of the tube if you really want. Google powder coat and the name of your nearest major city or look for paint shops in the phone book. Keep in mind that powder coat will look like paint not like metal.

I don't know anything about coloring metals, but I do know that my S6 turned slightly black after a few months. My other mod (powder coated black) still looks new. I am very lazy when it comes to upkeep of mods outside of a quit wipe down and noalax. I may still end up getting one just to have a slimmer/smaller 18650 mod, but was just curious as to my options about getting it in black

The stainless won't tarnish like the aluminum S6. But if you want it colored check out having it dipped, Water Transfer Printing / HydroGraphics / Camo Dipping. I've been thinking about doing this to some of my mods. I haven't checked on a price, but a stabilizer for a bow only cost $25 and a PV is smaller. :2c:

Just outside my comfort zone.
I had a couple of Sig pistols redone. The lowers are aluminum. instead of anodizing I went with a finish they called teflon. It's amazingly slick and ultra high quality. Suppose to be more resilient to wear than anodizing.. It's black by the way..
Let's hijack the thread, you are a man after my own heart. I love and have several Sigs, Glocks, and Colt pistols. Who did the teflon for you?

Just a real quickie and back to the original thread.

A buddy of mine (Jerry Stiller / Stiller Precision Firearms) owns viperaction.com He was having some lowers done so I put mine in the pile.
he had it done for me. Can't tell ya what it cost, it was free.
I can tell ya what it cost to get the trigger, hammer, decocker, takedown pin and clip release 24K gold plated though ($240.00) :w00t:

Has it been six weeks yet ??
