I use the AW IMR16340's in my T1 and they last all day long....
They actually perform better (I think) than the 18650's

What do you use to charge them?

Does anyone know if the typical 2 channel UltraFire and TrustFire 3.7V chargers that handle 14500s and 10440s will work with them? Are the Pila or AW chargers the flashlight guys rave about any safer?

Are you on the Super6 page maybe?

Try this - Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products. and scroll all the way down...

it should say this,

Precise 16340 and 18650 Pre-Order. All the features of their little brother in a bigger package! Designed to accept the bigger 16340 or 18650 batteries (including high drain batteries), these have all the features of their little brother and also include an adjustable button throw! Comes standard with a 510 atomizer cap and also includes an optional screw in 510 to 901 or 510 to 801 adapter.

Note: This is a Pre-Order. Expected production time is approximately 6 weeks.

They will.... I use a WF-139 and a TR-001... The WF-139 requires a little aluminum spacer for it to reach but the TR is spot on.....

David,

How about some lanyard rings for the Precises.

They could be put on the button end, between the cap and body. The button throw would be a little longer on the P10. The other models have adjustable throw so it wouldn't matter. When I first got my Precise I looked for one that would fit. But I couldn't find one. Just a thought. I'd buy them for all my Precises. Not sure about everyone else

Lanyards? Really? :w00t:

OOPS That didnt work so well... Heres the original quote from RedRhino: What i mean is.... I can replace the 18650 with two rcr 123A????
But of course:)
Brock You might have missed this. I think the vent hole question is resonable for those who want the larger model, to vap at 6V ( Errr... In brass :D )

Nope nothing on my work computer. On my Droid it shows up fine.

So how long does a 16340 battery last at 3.7? I'm not familiar with them. I like the smaller size, though.

From what i understand a 16340 batt is Just another term they use for the RCR123A But I'm probably wrong, so please don't listen to me....Since I personally never had a 16340 batt myself:)

Thanks Rhino! Anybody with anymore info/experience with 16340? I have only used 10440 and 14500. Will this precise use a protected 16340?

You are right Redrhino. The 16340 is the same size as a cr123a. I use this battery quite a bit on one of my mods with a LR 510 atty. It lasts me about 2 to 3 hours on a fairly heavy vape.

I use the AW IMR16340's in my T1 and they last all day long....

aschmidy for what it's worth that AW IMR battery is the only 3.7V 16340 that I'd suggest...as far as how long they hold up that depends on what atty or carto you're using on it..

my first statement...the math seems to support the fact that with that IMR battery specifically the amp draw of whatever atty/carto you're using won't exceed the max drain rate of the battery...

let's look at a couple of different options
LR atty at 3.7V....2.47A amp draw
joye 510 atty at 3.7V....1.61A amp draw
Turbo cartomizer (3.1Ω) at 3.7V....1.19A amp draw

ultrafire 3.7V 16340 (880mAh) has a max drain rate of:
880 *1.5(C) /1000 = 1.32A for 60min/1.5(C)= 40 min

Even the regular AW 3.7V 16340 (750mAh):
750* 2(C)/1000= 1.5A for 60min/2(C) = 30 min

So they're being overstressed by running a joye 510 or a LR atty...and the standard or turbo cartos are getting close (with fully charged batteries they're over too)

now the 3.7V AW IMR 16340 (550mAh) and it's max drain rate:
550*8(C)/1000=4.4A for 60/8(C)= 7.5min

so well beyond the amp draw of any of the atties or cartos thus not stressing them..

now how long they will last
LR atty... 2.47A draw-> 2470mA... 2470/550= 4.49C
60/4.49C=13.36min=801.78sec or roughly 267 3second long button presses
Joye 510...1.61A draw-> 1610mA... 1610/550=2.93C
60/2.93C=20.48min=1228.67sec or roughly 409 3second long button presses
Turbo Cartomizer...1.19A draw->1190mA... 1190/550= 2.16C
60/2.16C= 27.78min=1666.67sec or roughly 555 3second long button presses

those are roughly pretty good guesses as far as time that battery will hold up

Drozd, thanks for all the info! Wow, I appreciate it. AW IMR is the way to go. Sounds like it would last me quite a while, unless I was on the computer or driving :)
So is it a better battery than the 14500s, in your opinion?

truth be told yeah..
again:
let's look at a couple of different options
LR atty at 3.7V....2.47A amp draw
joye 510 atty at 3.7V....1.61A amp draw
Turbo cartomizer (3.1Ω) at 3.7V....1.19A amp draw

Ultrafire 14500:
900(mAh) * 1.5(C rating)/1000=1.32A max drain rate
AW 14500
750(mAh) * 2(Crating)/1000=1.5A max drain rate

so if you're running a joye 510 or a LR atty on em you're overstressing the batteries....not by a whole lot mind you...but you're probably not going to see the full duty cycle of the battery (# of times it can be recharged) or as long of a runtime out of them ...not hugely critical....just gotta watch your batteries a bit more..

I did hear a rumor that AW is working on coming out with a 14500 IMR which should take care of that though..
