Hey all...

I had ordered 50 of the punched Fusions and then some tips from IBTanked.

Newb question, but how much pressure should it take to insert the drip tip into the carto? I feel like I am on the verge of breaking something. The three tips are all stainless if that helps.

Thanks!

He has tips that fit. They are just a scosh to small for many tips. I believe he's fixing that issue.

I actually have the same problem w/ my SS drip tips on the fusion cartos. Moreso w/ the 510s than the 801s. The best method for me has been to apply a little bit of twisting motion while pushing the drip tip in. Be careful taking the drip tip out though. I managed to pop the top off of my evic and ripped the wires off of the board while trying to remove a drip tip and now i am waiting for amazon to deliver my soldering iron. A smart person (not me) would have just used a different drip tip.

The SS drip tip I was using had tight O-rings to begin with and the evic's collar was just loose in general. The repair is quite easy. Just need to re solder the wires back to the connectors. I wouldnt blame the carto as much as the relatively daintiness of the evic. I have had no such issues with my wife's or my vamo but thought it wouldnt hurt being cautious anyway.

Oh good and how true. That is still a shame for the eVic, I would have thought they would of been more secure. We almost made an investment into them recently but tax season halted that

The evic was my first APV. I actually still like it because it feels good in the hand and it is easy to lug around. The finish is also pretty tough and resistant to scratches. My biggest problem is of course the top collar of the control unit and the 2.5 amp limit which may or may not bother you depending on your voltage/wattage requirements. The Vamo on the other hand is something else. I've had it now for a month and I still can't stop saying to myself "Self, I can't believe this was only $50". The Vamo also doubles as a self defense weapon and a rolling pin. I am sure there are more uses for it but I did not want to get too far off topic. :p

Hey 5C! What's that doohicky on your button? (that sure didn't sound right!)

It's just what's left of the purple color that BP used to be. When it got to many battle scars I put it in my lathe and un-anodized it but that little recess button area was missed. Like Harleys and Hotrods I build em to go not show.

That's awesome! I actually picked up a Vamo for a friend's birthday. Unfortunately he told me that it broke
Usually with Joyetech products I like to wait for a v2,v3 model. Their track record of first version runs are always needing places for improvement. they certainly know one thing though and that's innovation from comfort and performance. It's just their build quality takes a few runs .
