First time posting; lurker for about a year or so.... I was a "late bloomer" when it comes to smoking (didn't start till I was 37), but after roughly 4-5 years of moderate (pack or less a day) use, I've decided enough is enough. Had my last analog on new years eve (ha!). So far so good - I've been researching the setups and finally ordered the Aspire Premium Kit. I haven't received it yet, but in the meantime I'm emptying my "stash" of njoy Kings. Few months ago, Costco was clearing them out and for $3/10 PACK (yes - $0.30/each), I bought the remaining 3-10 packs. Not bad, but when I tried my friend's "lowly" protank/eGo setup, I was like - wow, that's what you call vapor!
Now, onto the never ending quest for the "perfect" juice... and trying to convince my wife to kick the habit as well.

Welcome!! And congrats on taking a healthier road.

I'll second that! :thumb: Like me, you didn't seem to be too much of a heavy smoker, so you probably didn't spend a huge amount on tobacco cigs. You will notice quickly however that this route (vapin') is less expensive! :2c: Of course, it is quite easy to spend a lot of cash on this, depending on finding the right hardware setup and whatnot.

I haven't been around here too long but this place seems to be full of quitters.

Sorry had to agree with someone there...

As a reply to stasek, wow only 4-5 years?

Wish I could state that. I started smoking at age 13 I am right now 24 years old and I was a pack a day smoker- (still have the urge and slip up to smoke one every now and again)

Lucky for you, you also started late- and indeed quit early. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

to ecf stasek . Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. It is wonderful having a place get all the reliable information that ecf offers. The best part of course are the people here. So helpful. Good luck to you and I look forward to reading more about you and getting your wife to quit.

I make all my own juice but when I was looking and trying to find what I liked, I used this thread a lot. Some fantastic deals can be found there.

At some point you may want to read some of the many wonderful DIY threads on ecf. Not only do I prefer what I make because is saves a considerable amount of money, but it is also a lot of fun to do. Ya'll have fun.

Yeah, started pretty late. Which doesn't mean I haven't tried them during college, but that was social smoking at its' best - one here, one there, only to feel like crap the next day. My dad passed away from lung cancer at 53 (smoked all his life), and when my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, that pushed me towards cigs. Year later, my mom also passed away, and smoking kind of became a habit.
