I need a new set up. I don’t want to be rebuilding coils or anything technical. Something S-O but reliable. At the moment I have I sticks 20/30 and nautilus minis. I had a go of a sub tank today - noting the 0.6 on the battery dial - and thought - yes - I want that - so I'm thinking subtank - with a battery capacity of ca 4000m. Something for in my house - and Ill use the IS/NM's on the move and as back ups. Considering an MPV3 Pro with a kanger subtank. Ive also been recommended eVic-VT 60W I dont really know much about it yet.

What do folks think of these 2 possible setups? Or can anyone recommend anything better?

Thanks in advance.

The eVic kit with matching eGo One mega is a popular choice and I've heard good and bad things. The bad mainly being that it drops the temp control at times. While working or on the move I use an istick 50w with a subtank plus. Home is for drippers with my IPV4. I have a little subtank mini with a 30w istick for the times when I need to keep it low pro.

Ego One mega battery works really really well on the subtank mini with the 0.5ohm coil..
Ijust 2 is another great setup for the money.
If you want mega clouds, the Starre pro tank is (my personal favourite and best sub ohm tank ever made, my opinion)...I could go on and on but it depends on what you want..
There are some many choices..

Hi thanks for the advice.

The ego one is 2600mAh - I wanted higher than that - ca 4000
Eleaf one is the same.

I suppose Im wondering also if I should be going for box mod (I'd prefer not to bother with seperate batteries) or one where you need to change batteries. Are there any strong reasons to avoid a box mod?

In terms of clouds - just looking for the next step up - the subtank i had a go on was 0.6 ohms vaping at 17 watts - I cant see myself vaping over 20-25 watts - but i want something that can do 20-25 watts easily - you dont play your speakers on full volume very often :)

Cheers

The Subtank Mini has a rebuild deck for building your own coils and holds 4.5 ml of juice. It also uses the 1.2 ohm OCC, the newer 1.5 vertical OCC, and the .5 ohm OCC. You can rebuild the 1.2 and .5, but after using one of the 1.5 on a new black Subtank Mini it doesn't appear that they can be rebuilt (which is probably designed this way on purpose.) I bought one of the newer black subtank mini's that come on the subbox and actually prefer the older style sub mini's that come with the 1.2 ohm coil.

Smok M80 plus. 80 watts, can subohm down to 0.1 so if you're ever looking into something like a Freemax Starre or anything that has 0.2 or 0.3 coils youd be good. Its crap on TC but I dont use it for that. 4400 MaH battery. I would pair that with either a Freemax Starre or the Arctic Horizon. Both great tanks. I like the Horizon better because the juice port is nice and tall so you have less chance of dry hits but they both perform pretty well at 60 watts on 70 vg juices. Theyre both currently cheaper than the subtank and the mini and both have either 0.2 or 0.5 ohm coils so if you find the 0.2 coils are drinking up too much juice use the other one. Thats my suggestion for what you seem to be looking for

any particular reason why a subtank mini and not a subtank?

first came the subtank
it had a few problems.

then they put out the subtank mini where they fixed the problems; and the mini is the regular 22mm wide whereas the subtank was fatter.
the heads for the mini are not compatible with the heads for the subtank.

then they eventually brought out the subtank plus.
which uses the same heads as the mini.

so get the mini or the plus
