I bought a couple of these when I saw them before they all sold out. Manual 510 DISPOSABLE E-CIG KIT with Blue LED

I have a question about it. The description makes reference to charging it with a disposable 510 charger which is the charger that comes with the Q brand I assume or a regular 510 charger. Since it doesn't have a LED on the end like a regular 510 but the button that lights when its pushed I'm curious what if any indication you have about it charging. Can anyone tell me what happens when it charges and how I can tell its all charged?

My experience is that the Blue LED stays on when charging... never goes off. I have two that I have been trying to get to charge, after I vap'd the factory charge down. Have not been able to get them to hold a charge at all. I have used my standard Joye 510 charger and also the Q -disposable 510 USB charger. Nothing that I have will charge the batteries.

I have been in correspondence with Mark in this regard, and he has replied: "they’re a bit hit or miss on what chargers they like. I find that the disposable chargers work okay as well as the regular 510 usb and AC chargers, but it is a bit of a guess as to which and when they’ll charge.. I find the blue light on the battery stays on all the time regardless of the charger that they are on".

But still, I cannot get mine to charge at all. Maybe I just got a couple of bad ones, but coming from the factory, they had a good charge and vap'd wonderfully.

They did indeed have a great factory charge. Much better to toss in the car as an emergency PV than the Q brand disposables, even though they are OK. Just wish I knew of a good charger for them. I had posted my original question because I tried using my disposable 510 charger from a Q package, light on for 3 hours, end result still dead battery. I'll have to try a regular style charger since they have different electronics inside. If it works I'll post.

I have had good luck with my Q's as well... have given several to friends and family to try, as their fist e-cigs. FYI, I have the "Hurricane" E016 (a.k.a Hello Tech 016) coming from Mark. Should be here in the next day or two, if MV keeps up their usual excellent delivery/service. Since the E016 Kit comes with a charger and is also a Hello Tech product, I am going to see if I can use it on the E010 (a.k.a Manual 510 Disposable with Blue LED) batteries and see if I can get a charge that way... I will post my results as well.

Who knows... maybe the batteries are already fried/DOA.... heaven forbid... that they be found to be, (dare I say the word?)..."disposable"!!!

Good luck with your attempt with the regular style charger.

Follow on my charging issues. Found one of those universal type USB chargers. The ones with the silicon washer instead of threads. Found it while looking for the 510 charger, which I didn't find. The universal charged one of the batteries just fine. As a test I tried the other one back in the Q disposable charger I tried yesterday. Both seem to have charged each battery just fine. Which makes it odd since the same charger and same battery didn't charge yesterday.

Regardless seems these do indeed recharge just fine although they make be a bit touchy about the charger and how its connected.

PS: The 'tobacco' flavored juice in these. Tastes much different than the standard DK tobacco or USA mix that I've had in starter kits. I assume its still the same thing and this is just one of the typical DK flavor variations?

Another thing that I have found since researching different forums, regarding battery charging. It seems to be protocol for some chargers that the charger is removed from the power source after each charge is complete and/or before the next charge is initiated. "1) Disconnect from power source. 2) Insert battery into charger. 3) re-connect to power supply". They say that this "re-sets" the charger. I tried my batts again, making sure that I disconnected/re-connected but still... NO LUCK!!!

Maybe this is what helped with your success. Good to know that there is a way to get them to charge though... I am still waiting on my E016 and CHARGER to get here. Suppose to be "In town" and "out for delivery"... can't wait for the postman to cometh.

I had problems charging these as well using a regular 510 charger. They would only last for about 30 minutes tops. I found a charger from another vendor selling these (not sure if I should mention it in here) and that charger charged them just fine, but took around 2-3 hours. Since hoogie deals with Hello, maybe he can order chargers for those.

Regarding charging with the 016 charger, it might not be the safest thing to do, since they do charge at a higher rate. You will likely be charging at a rate higher than 1c, which is not recommended.

MY 016 finally got here! Once I saw the size of that puppy's batt, I re-thought hooking it's charger up!!! Anyway, I had ordered the MV's DESAN USB charger at the same time and thought that it would be prudent to try that first. Which I did. Same negative results. Like you, I also, found another supplier that had the 010 charger, just so happened that both orders arrived yesterday, and like you, IT WORKED! Same here, 2-3 hours charge time. Bad news is, that when I screwed an atty on, pressed the button... got clouds of vapor... all good right??? NOT SO!! Now the dang thing won't shut off!!! LED light stays on, power stays on. Even though you can hear the "click" as you actuate the button. Hey, not all is lost... it made a cute little night light and still on this morning... Could this be a bad switch/MOSFET?????

Anybody know if I will put the charger at risk, by putting the battery back on it??? I am thinking that there might be a diode in there to protect against reverse flow. And maybe "reset" the battery's circuitry/switch???

Thankfully Mark threw in two new 010 replacement batteries with my 016 order, so I am vaping/charging happily on them at the moment. These new batteries will never see a charger other than the one designed for it! I second the request for MV to carry the Hello 010 charger!

Great service and response to a problem Mark! Thanks a TON!!!

My charger doesnt work?

My battery ran out for the first time when I try to charge it no led nothing? This is the first time Im trying to charge it.

I notice my kit looks like the one on the website but the charger in the kit looks different from the one in the picture of the kit.

I have been using vape kits going on 2 years so I know how they work. I dont have any other kits anymore so there is no mix up on my end the charger came DOA.

I emailed madvapes will see what happens?

I think you're thinking about something else. The Hello 10 disposable which I'm talking about and linked to in my OP doesn't come with a charger. Just battery, atomizer and 2 prefilled carts.

BTW I mis-spoke before. I have 1 good and 1 bad battery. One of them will recharge nicely but the other refuses to charge no matter what I do. Still not bad for a disposable item. I know I'll get more if he restocks.

Well I gave it a good week still havnt heard anything from madvapes about my DOA usb charger??? I sent an email about the DOA charger and still no response???

I went back to the website and see there is a new response system so I guess they are having trouble and trying a new method for customer assistance??? I will give madvapes the benifit of doubt 1 time.

Currently using the freebie juice he sent me with my old disposable cigars till I can get a working usb charger replacement to get these 510 batteries recharged. Lucky me these old disposable cigar batteries just keep working LOL.

Will see how long it takes for a response and get this issue resolved??? This isnt my first post about this issue here and I'm getting no help gives me the impression this e-tailer does not read this forum?
