New tank decision

Hey guys. In my last post I was trying to find out if the fireluke coils were compatible with my new Voopoo Uforce-L tank but, it turns out they're only compatible with the original Uforce tank. As I am considering sticking with the TW coils with the Uforce-L and the bummer of the Z coils for the Zeus 2021 tank that came with my T200 mod, only lasting a day I was wondering if there were any other tanks with screw top filling and top vents, like the aforementioned tanks which have coils that have good flavour and cloud production.

I do have the Obelisk C tank with 5.5ml glass but it's bottom vented and can leak.

Any suggestions would be great

Go with the Hellbeast 2 from Hellvape.

I have been using that tank for a long time, good thing about it is that its compatible with the GTi coils from Vaporesso.

The P coils from Hellvape are ok...just ok and there is only one to choose from but since you can choose GTi coils that lets you choose from 4 different coils which is a good thing.

Hellbeast 2 is a solid tank, easy to clean, good performance and well manufactured.

Thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead and bought the Hellvape 2 and have been using the GTI .04 coils with it. I like the feel of the tank and get good flavour from the coils, but, they've been lasting me less than 24hrs.

Is this normal for GTI coils or am I doing something wrong as I do prime them and leave for at least 10 minutes before use.

Hmm does sound odd.
I use the same exact coils and i am getting at least 3 days out of them and i am a heavy vaper.
And by heavy vaper i mean that is the only tank/coil i use,i don't keep tanks in rotation i just stick to the one.

The only 3 reasons that come to mind are:

-Bad batch of coils or maybe counterfeit, gotta make sure you buy from a reputable source.
-You let the e-liquid go lower than it should before refilling the tank.
-Higher VG proportion are coil killers.
-Are you chain vaping?
With drop in pre made coils if you chain vape the hell out it you will decrease the lifespan of said coil.
-Sweetness of the e-liquid is also a factor when it comes to the duration of the coil.
-Wattage,are you sticking to the parameters dictated by the coils?
In my case when i use the GTi 0.4 ohms i stick to something between 33 and 36 watts, don't like hot vapes so with the airflow half close or 2rds closed that provides me with the ideal vape.

Apart from that not much i can add.

I am the same and only use 1 tank. I but the coils from the same retailer I've used for previous tanks/devices with no issues. The juice I use is high in sweetness and 70%vg. Wattage wise I've been between 45-50 but will try your suggestion of 33-36 with half/2 thirds closed.

You could try a one shot flavour pack and use Ethyl Maltol as a sweetener, as Sucralose is used predominantly as a sweetener in commercial liquids/juices and it's a coil clogger/killer.

Whenever I've used liquids containing Sucralose my coils have turned black within a day and coil life has been considerably shortened.

That sounds rather advanced for my liking. I did try making my own juices a couple years back but failed terribly

30PG/70VG is the same proportion i use.
Aroma wise my usual brand has an ''unsweetened'' option which had made a difference when it comes to the lifespan of my coils.
In your case the lower wattage won't do much of a difference,if your e-liquid is really sweet it will kill your coil just as fast as before.

What he said.
Can also try to try different flavors that are less sweet.
One i use is this one:

Sweet but still devoid of all Sucralose,of the same flavor they have one with Sucralose and one without.
Since i switched i have noticed a increase in coil life.

That's a great product you've listed there @Javichu, as there's no sweetener added but it is included if needs be.

But Sucralose is awful on coils, even at 0.5% when I've tried using it for DIY. EM on the other hand is much better, but it is also known as cotton candy flavour so in some mixes can make things "interesting".

I just use it at 1% though.

Unfortunately the product @Javichu listed is an EU one @BladeZ80, but you can get one shots/flavour packs in almost any country. But for certain in the US.

What kind of flavours do you like?

We may be able to come up with some options then.

And as for the VG/PG base, that's widely available. You're just needing to find USP marked ones; which are safe in medicines, foods and vaping.

And somewhere else, if it's not listed.
