new tanks?

I'm curious. Also new to vapin. But curious do you guys/ or are you supposed to use a new tank when using a different juice? I've tried using a tank I've used before with one flavor with a new one and it's always been nasty. So I've found myself buying tanks each time I get new juice. Cleaning tips maybe??

What sort of 'tanks' are you talking about? I tend to keep 4 tanks in circulation for families of flavors. Tobacco, Citrus, Fruit (other), Sweet, for example.

Works for me. I just fill up with whatever takes my fancy.

I find that haveing a couple of different tanks lets me switch flavors fairly easy. However if you've only have 1 or 2 tanks you'll find cleaning them when changeing flavor will get rid of the yuck taste. IO use distilled water and vodaka to clean. water(warm) for the tank, vodka(cheap) for the coil.

I just change out the coil, and rinse out the tank.

I just rinsed the tank under the tap. If a similar family of flavors, I'd just add the new flavor to the tank without cleaning.

When I was using cartotanks, I had several tanks up and running simultaneously, each with their own flavor. Made it easier to switch flavors.

I wonder if cleaning out the coil with a good flavor alcoholic beverage would impart some of the taste? Perhaps Jamaican Rum or Bourbon or somesuch. There are flavors available when mixing your own juices that seem to have some of those flavors

I just use a different tank for each flavor. If I decide I do not want to keep using a flavor I wash that tank our and rewick it.

For me it depends on the flavour. For instance if I were using menthol I would probably use a new tank. But I don't usually mind using the same tank for a fruit when I had been vaping a dessert before, or vice versa. Sometimes the combination is quite delicious. That said, unless the initial juice is very overpowering, the flavour does get replaced by the next one pretty quickly. One other trick I use is to wash and dry the various parts of the tank apart from the coil. The coil I wipe down very well and closing off the bottom i blow hard into the top end. That usually makes a lot of juice in the filling cotton or wick come out of the side air holes leaving the inside of the coil head relatively dry. Of course if you are using top coils like a the iClear 30 or something similar you can always wash and dry the wicks.

If you are using silica BCC coils like the Kanger Evod or T3s you can soak them in PGA or vodka and allow to dry to remove the flavor. Except for tobacco, strong vanilla and other strong flavors. Those rewuire recoiling or rewicking to get rid of the old flavor.

alternately you can use a coil for each flavor and just remove the coil put in an empty medicine bottle or somesuch label and keep it there till you use that flavor again. rinse the tank well with warm water and you are good to go with a coil per flavor instead of a tank per flavor.
