I've been drip vaping for quite a while on a nemesis mod and a caravela mod. I decided to step up to a duel 18650 box mod. After having to fix a poorly soldered connection and a loose button I'm rather happy with it. Currently have my mutation x on it using 2 efests but my vtc4's will be a arriving tomorrow. Space is kinda tight inside the mod, I also ordered a led voltage meter and a usb charger chip. The shape of the mod is awesome. Kinda why I got it over the rectangle box's out there. Overall I'm very happy with it. I'm also toying with the idea of converting it to a series box. As with any hobby, always changing lol.

I didn't even know Tesla made box mods. Just checked it out on Google and it looks pretty cool. I like how it looks like it fits in the hand well. First thought was "it's ugly..." lol. But I think I would buy one if I didn't already have a few box mods. How do you like the Mutation? I just got a Dark Horse in the mail and it's my new favorite RDA to date! I saw Rip's review of the Mutation X v2 and it looks pretty awesome.

A mosfet is a type of transistor that acts as a switch in the mod. If all the current went through the actual button, it wouldn't be able to handle it and would probably fail quickly. Instead, the button just sends a small current to the mosfet, and that had two other terminals that let the high current through. They can handle way more amps than any practical pushbutton.

Anyway, they're cheap and easy to wire, so replacing it wouldn't be a problem in the unlikely event it does fail. Just make sure you order from a legit supplier, bacause there are lots of counterfeits.
