Hello, my name is jason and ive been lurking for a little while now, trying to learn what i can. This is a really neat forum and cant wait to be part of this community.

Welcome. Glad to have you. Can you give us a little background on what kind of smoker you were/are? Maybe it will help in finding what you would be interested in and what appeals to you. plus it gets your post count up. This is a great forum and don't be shy when asking questions. We have all been where you are...

:)

Thanks for the warm welcome all. I actually came to this site for research years ago(things have definitely changed a bit since then) but decided to quit smoking using chantix. It worked and I was smoke free for a little over a year but then life got rough and went back to smoking. I use to smoke about two packs a day but this time around Im at about one pack a day so far.

After all the reasearch I have done Im almost positive I want a vv mod. I would love to start with a provari but my girlfriend would be mighty upset if i spent that amount of money on my first pv. I pretty much narrowed it down to the vmax, lavatube, or rebranded lavatube. Im cosidering the lavatube over the vmax because i don't think I want to go the stacked battery route. I really wanted the apollo ss but apparently they dont sell them any more. I have been looking at the lambo from Chrome Lavatube VV 2.0

What do you guys think of that pv? The price is really nice. I know the amp limit is 2.5, but are there any better avilible versions of this model out there? I also wanted to know if if the one thats offered by volcabo is any better?

Thanks for your time guys and helping a noob out.

Hi again
I looked at the link you provided and the description says it is a version 2 with a max of 3.2 amps. Looks like a good deal to me. I'd say go for it. The ss lavatube from apollo is really heavy but I use the mini version and love it. I also have their other minis in black and red. work flawlessly. You have to wade in the water before you can swim. lol

Don't know about volcano. Only that they were the first to have the lavatube.

:)

Oops, that was the wrong link. Here is the new one, same sire but different model i think because this one says that the cut of is 2.5 amps,Is this really that big of a deal? What would be the restrictions to me with the 2.5 vs the 3.2? I plan on getting a provari within a year so maybe i can deal with the one with the 2.5.

I'm headed over to volcano to see which one they have.

Thanks for the response.

That kit is very reasonable. Go for it. I don't think you can go wrong with it. Not sure of any restictions since I only have the 2.5. And it works flawlessly.

Hopefully, another member can detail that for you.

The only restriction with the 2.5 vs the 3.2 is that you shouldn't use it with dual coils (which are all the rage right now). But, as long as you stick to standard resistance and down to 2 ohm low resistance, you should be fine.

Thanks for the responce! Thats what i thought pretty much. I think this will be a good first apv for me I'm thinking. I'm still kinda on the fence between the LT and vmax but still dont think i want the stacked battery set up, plus if i get this kit i will already have the charger and batteries for when i get my provari in six months which I plan on using 18650 in.

BTW, I am loving the quick responses I'm receiving . This is an awesome community!

Ok, so I got my Lambo kit today, yay. I have my battery on charge and im trying to figure out how this all works. Sorry but im very new at this and only have experience with the store bought ecigs. It came with a tank and i think i just fill that up and off i go with that, right? What about the atomizers that came with it? Do I just put drops of eliquid in it and if so how much and how long will those probably last?

Remove the little white plug in the top of the cartomizer and toss it. Fill the cartomizer first-

A PBusardo Tutorial : Filling Boge 510 Cartomizers - YouTube

Insert it into the bottom hole of the tank about 2/3 of the way (lube it first with a little juice).

With the top cap of the tank installed (important), push the cartomizer aside by pushing the end sticking out of the bottom of the tank, then fill the tank without getting juice into the top of the cartomizer.

Push the cartomizer through the hole in the top cap, screw it onto your PV, push a drip tip into the cartomizer sticking out of the top cap.

Take a few slow short draws from it without activating the PV. Then slowly begin to vape it.

They seem to last a few days to a couple weeks. Average is about a week.
