I got an Aerotank mini and Vision Spinner a couple of days ago. First, I prefer the cooler vape on the 2ohm coils better than what I was getting on the 1.5ohm coiler. Can anyone provide me with some guidance on voltage settings with the Spinner and these dual coils?

My second question is in regards to coils and a clearo for my smaller eGo batteries (650 and 1000mah). I am either going to get a PT2 or some T3S's for these. I seem to reading here that the smaller resistances are better for these types of batteries. What is your suggestion on coils if I want a cooler vape, but also want decent performance with these batteries?

I can't speak to the dual coil Kanger products, but I use the PT 2's with single coils that I put in myself. I do a 10 wrap, 29g, 2mm diameter coil that comes in around 1.9 ohms, vaping at 4-4.2V, which is around 8-9W. My experience with Kanger stock coils is they'll begin to taste burnt if you get much higher than 7W but, again, the dual coils would require higher wattage.

I've been recoiling and sending T3s's to new CASAA members if you have not yet joined, just for signing up. The thread is here:

I'll warn you that once you've had a self-made coil, you'll want to learn how. If you get a PT2, Megan (of NT fame) will make you some coils that'll knock your socks off.

All of this is subjective. If you like the vape from a 2 ohm coil then that is what you should use with every clearo and battery.

Same goes for voltage you run your VV batteries at. On every battery system I own I like the vape of 1.4 to 1.8 coils around the 3.4 to 3.8 volts.

So try different voltages and see which voltage suite you the best. Don't fall into reading posts or watching videos that say You Have To Run at X voltage to get a good vape. A good vape for you is what you like not what someone else likes.

With standard eGo batteries, no variable voltage or wattage, they are usually somewhere around 3.7 volts when the battery is freshly charged and can go down from that once the battery nears its end of charge. Even the standard eGo batteries have some regulation in it, a chip of some type to regulate the voltage. Otherwise is would be the same as a Mechanical Mod which is isn't.

Also recently got the aerotank mini – It’s a nice tank for the ego. The thing I didn’t like about it right off the bat was that with the dual coils in such a small tank – it runs really HOT. I have since started using the regular single coil Kanger 2.2ohm coils in the mini and it runs much cooler. Just be sure to stack a second rubber stopper on the chimney (upside down) to prevent leaking / flooding. You can run the single coils this way in any Kanger dual coil tank. They are also very easy to re-wick with cotton after they gunk up. You can either re-wick, re-coil, or both (or just toss them – they are cheap enough)
Enjoy your new tank.
