Vg is way to thick for 18, 14 works, but I usually use no needle. I've also found putting my vg container in a warm water bath while I'm mixing nic & flavors makes the vg much more manageable, and easier to shake & mix up your final recipe.
I have a few 18 gauge ... Never use them, always 14. They're thin. But they can be used for your flavors & pg.
I also have a few 1ml & 10hypos ... rarely if ever use those, 5ml is my goto it seems. Since I don't use PG (alergic), I don't bother measuring my vg anymore, mix my nic & flavors, then fill the remainder of bottle with vg directly from the vg container.
Also, I use only 1 hypo and 1 needle when mixing, washing off between flavors or nic under the hot water tap. Some may frown upon this for cross-contamination principles though.
I get 1cc/1ml diabetic type needles for free from the druggist then cut off the needle ends.
Also use the large dropper that you'd use to administer medicine to a child. It's a 5ml. dropper plus I can pop off the rubber bulb for cleaning and also to use the tube as a funnel.
The markings will wash off so I score the key levels with a blade(not too deep) and fill in the scores using a marker. It's more permanent than using only tape.
I've also used mason jars for large batches and using a measuring cup and water, mark off key levels using tape around the jar. 200ml/250ml/400ml...whatever you want. Cheers.

Thanks for the good ideas, I'll definitely be marking those needles like you said n go check for that medicine dropper..can't wait to mix up a 250 ml batch, but gotta get some good recipes down first lol..
I noticed with the 5 ml and 10ml syringes that the graduation increments were larger... 0.5 for the 10 ml and .2 I believe on the 5. This doesn't effect your precision when your making smaller batches? Especially smaller batches when your only trying to use 1% flavor.. I have a 1, 5, & 10ml on the way with my package but wanted to get some 3 ml as well as some blunt tips. I guess I'll grab a pack of 14 gauge for everything.
I'm new to this as well but started out mixing by weight. I know Bull city sells their flavors in dropper bottles. It really couldn't be easier. No syringes or clean up after the mix. Pour ingredients right into the bottle.

Would you measure everything by the drop in 6 & 10 ml bottles? Including pg & vg? That's allot of drops lol...but seems like it be more precise in low quantities. I noticed drawing up a ml or 2 of flavor in a syringe with a 1.5 inch needle doesn't seem very accurate cuz you have the needle and base of the needle filled before the increments of the syringe even begin.. unless you draw air in and hold up right to push the air back out I've noticed..but that be nearly impossible with vg. I imagine that little bit in the needle can drastically throw off a recipe..what's you think?
You prefer going by weight over drops? What's you put a beaker or something to mix in on your scale and tare before you start adding your ingredients? Maybe I'll have to try that, any advice?
I don't use pg, just fill the bottle with vg after nic & flavor. No need to measure, and I use the vg bottle from CVS which can be squirted right into the juice bottle.
For new recipes in a 10ml, I use a 1ml hypo. Good questions... Is it truly acurate? No. I sometimes tweak it when using 30ml batches depending on flavor, but not often. I can't tell any difference between 1.5ml & 1.6ml of a flavor, for example. Don't worry about being exactly precise...think like a cook making a pot of spaghetti sauce....throw in some garlic, little basil, couple shakes of oregeno, pinch of salt, LOL. Use the hypos so you can record & repeat your success!
That said, I do measure my nic carefully & double check the ratios .... It is a poison!
